All that hypothetical BS doesn't make any sense. I would love to see all the fighters from the 70s and 80s undergo the same drug testing that fighters today must undergo and let's see how they'd perform. That's just 1 aspect if it, there are lots and lots of other aspects thag need to be considered for such comparisons to have any kind of validity.

Are some of the people in this thread suggesting that Leonard at Welterweight or Hearns at Welterweight is "too big" for Floyd? Ok, gosh let's avoid the injustice.. Let's just make it a P4P matchup since it would be SOO unfair to match Floyd against the skinniest and least experienced versions of Hearns and Leonard from early in their careers when they were actual Welterweights against the welterweight version of Floyd who was a battle tested veteran in his late 20's and 30's.

Floyd didn’t fight anyone even close to the talent of Duran though. He was unbeatable against the lightweights at the time.

Atg isn’t just how you might fair head to head. It’s about if people think you took risks or were overly cautious in career.
That’s where floyd didn’t do too well or where you can have a field day picking floyd apart and why floyd ant as high as he could be

Even if they were prime for prime Mayweather would take a vacation and wait out hearns. kill some time blah blah blah damage goods then maybe. Mayweather will eventually lose outside the ring I feel. I really like Mancini on PBC btw.

Floyds probably top 20 but Hearns is all wrong for him. I reckon Floyd goes the distance but stays outside looking for a moment that never comes. Leonard beats him too.

All of them PRIME, mind you.. Yeah, let's take those away from Leonard. Ok. Good idea. Then we can compare him to Floyd. Then it will be fair.

EDIT: LOL except Marvin. He wasn't prime.
                  "Tale away Duran's Hagler."

What remains, Prime Sugar Ray Leonard at his best weight class.

Floyd is in the top 10's to top 15. People overrate older generation of fighters too much.

... Now this is pure gold!... and not that you mention the exhibition McGregor fight here... but because you mention the Maidana 2 fight -- as both came under 147 on the scales...
