They're not as active now. Fans barely see them fight.
How come its so hard to build new PPV stars?

cenelo speaks English that he chooses not to is a different story..for someone that doesnt speak English like you say he has the richest contract in sports history...Pacquiao and Floyd are the last crossover stars
Canelo is up thre but his name isnt really household in America. I feel if he spoke English he would be a huge mega star but he refuses to learn English
Most people I know dont order his fights unless they are mexican decent or latino, but with Pac and Floyd they had people from all races in America buying their fights, same with Oscar
why is it hard for these younger boxers to become stars on ppv you would think it would be easier with the social media and internet
Is it because they just dont have that It factor to them nothing unique to their style or personality?
Pacquiao was a berserker non stop come forward wild man with no fear, Floyd was a brash talking villian, Oscar the pretty golden boy.
None of these younger guys really stand out.Comment

Casuals don’t like boxing they like storylines. 90% of boxers are from poor backgrounds with minimal differentiation between them in the eyes of the everyday joe.Comment

Manny and Floyd were very popular before social media though Pac was selling 425k buys on pppv back in 2005 and he never fought anywhere other than HBO he was an instant draw and was like 25 or 26 years old
this was before social media and 247Comment

Well they dont find it too hard in the UK. Maybe its a mixture of the ridiculous prices and American Boxing fans being fed mismatches, crap fights and robberies. American Boxing fans, even the casuals, are not going to put up with that for too long before you start seeing a decline in numbers. Which America has clearly seen.Comment

You have to beat or seriously compete with a major star and continue winning to become a major draw. Ali beat Liston. Oscar beat Chavez and continued winning. Floyd beat Oscar, Pac beat Oscar. Horn and Bradley rose to fame off of beating Pac. Nobody beat Floyd, so he hasn't transitioned his gravitas to anyone, but Maidana rose to fame by giving Floyd hell twice. Fury beat Klitchko, and Wilder and Fury both elevated each other. AJ beat Klitchko. Every major star builds off of another. But the best aren't fighting the best these days, so that major star has not emerged as yet.Pacquiao and Floyd are the last crossover stars
