No that's not how it works. Lol he gets no profits or checks on other fights on DAZN it simply means he owns stock shares likely extremely small percent. That stock value could go up or down. If DAZN sells the company he could get a check based on whatever the amount he is given is worth. But DAZN isn't even profitable to the majority owning billionaire who started the company. They are investing huge money hoping one day it will be profitable or to one day sell the company to a bigger company.

The thing is, there is a reason they keep asking in surveys if we would be fine paying $14.99 a month or $19.99 a month. I don't think the $9.99 price point was going to there to stay for the long run. They just couldn't start out with $14.99 as they really only had boxing and Bellator. It depends really. None of this spending would matter if theyre only making themselves attractive for a buy out. Lay down the foundations, attract as many subscribers at this price point. Then some massive company takes over and really starts spending cash. As rich as this Leonard Blavatnik, he aint competing for major rights.
But like that article I showed you said, someone like Apple could completely crush the competition.Comment

Lol yea beat me before i go back and edit that brain fart. Still the best offer of any other promoters (didnt have to go through eddie or oscar either) and he get his GGG promotions dates. No that's not how it works. Boxing makes up such a tiny percent of the money DAZN has invested. They are gobbling up licenses for bigger sports worth far more money then they have spent in the US on boxing. They are spending heavy in boxing in the US waiting time until NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and US contracts expire. Once that happens they going to bid high to gain those contracts like they have done to get these contracts in other countries outside the US. When that happens they will either increase the subscription cost or come up with a la cart method to subscription costs similar to Sling TV where you can pay 1 price to a package with boxing, another larger price for boxing and NFL, boxing/NFL and NBA. The other option is they will have to start selling advertisements. But something will have to give once they buy up more content in the US.The thing is, there is a reason they keep asking in surveys if we would be fine paying $14.99 a month or $19.99 a month. It's like getting a ticket to one day win the lottery. I don't know how much it's worth without knowing the percentage and shares amount. The real money is whatever he is guaranteed for fighting. And getting fight dates to start his own promotional company. Even if he only fights for a year during that year he gets dates for whatever fighters he signs. That might lure some top guys in his own country to sign with him.
The funny part if this is true then Loeffler who declared 4 months ago that any network that wants to sign GGG has to give fight dates for 360 Promotions, Loeffler's own promotional company. Sounds like GGG has cut Loeffler the phuk out and is getting dates for himself NOT 360 Promotions lolComment

Right, boxing is really the only available sport at the moment so DAZN is going hard after it now. But once the others sports leagues rights open up, then that will truly determine the success of DAZN in the long run.Boxing makes up such a tiny percent of the money DAZN has invested. They are gobbling up licenses for bigger sports worth far more money then they have spent in the US on boxing. DAZN in Canada is like 20 bucks and they NFL rights and other sports leagues. That's the likely future of DAZN in stateside. But having the option to purchase different packages is also something I mentioned in the past. That though happens if they get their hands on multiple big sports leagues ala NFL/NBA. Having rights to the MLB show they have isn't going to move the needle.Comment
