They should give the man some respect.

Most times I take what these ATG's say with a pinch of salt. These guys don't watch boxing as much as some folks here on NBS. Yes, some ATGs get paid as commentators and attend events, although they look sideways and chitchat most of the time. I doubt if they actually bother watching full replays, which some folks here do a lot. I've heard an ATG speak about a relatively popular fighter in this manner: "...I haven't really seen much of him except maybe on one occasion...."
Besides the bias, that's how some of them are.
Well, It's sad to hear Holyfield talk BS about Jack Reiss' call in the 12th, when it was proven right in hindsight. He is entitled to his opinion (bias), but I don't agree Wilder is even second best, let alone the best.
AJ is clearly the number one yet NOT the most skilled in my views. On that department, I have Ortiz, Povetkin, and Fury ahead of him. As for Wilder, skill has never been his strong point, but we all know that already.Last edited by BoxOfficer; 02-24-2019, 08:34 AM.

Joshua has done more in less time and is rated #1 by the ranking systems that matter.
Yes, Lennox, Sugar Ray, Holyfield are all ATG’s but they just push an opinion based on their own agenda which suits Wilder fans agenda’s. Joshua is the #1 HW in the world, it’s a fact, not opinion. It’s a bitter pill to swallow for Wilder fans to swallow but swallow they must.
Bonafide champs have to clue your mini brain into thinking how a true champ conducts himself...take note: Muscles & smiling don't automatically make you champ - they help in casting calls. Eddie says AJ runs the show, AJ says Eddie runs the show! Which one is it?! I'll tell you. GREED runs their show. For some time now, they can't put Poshuas FIRST REAL fight together (against a PRIME opponent) because they know it'll affect their income!! Once he loses, the FAKE commercial mystique is GONE and possibly a suicide attempt by you! LEARN from the REAL CHAMPS not who you want to look like....

Holyfield, Lennox, Ray & Fury know more than your zombie brain can comprehend, so try to learn from them. Wilder has had DOUBLE the fights your pretty boy hero has had, has had to "get up" (motivated) for each one and came out on top each time! Your hyped commercial ready pop star hero has had quadruple the photo shoots with late night classes listening to every word that comes out both Hearns mouths on how to be a prop.

Until AJ / Wilder fight and stay unbeaten a case can be made for both as who’s #1 or #2 but really it’s just a opinion and case can be made for both .
Even though Wilder / Fury was a draw and
More people believe Fury won and has the lineal
he still has to be considered #3 , his decision basically to avoid Wilder in a immediate rematch that was conducted in such a way that is at least a dishonest way to conduct business and to many it seems he never wanted a rematch to begin with and is actually running away from a rematch happening anytime in the near future. People shouldn’t reward Fury by the moves he’s made and have him rated above Wilder no matter how you feel about their fight.
AJ is viewed as #1 by almost every fan / media / organizations but also his team hasn’t gone out of their way to face the toughest opponents available more of a steady stream of guys in the top 5-10 , Wilder the last year has been chasing the best of the division and has fought Ortiz / Fury generally regarded as the #3/4 and both fighters including Wilder, AJs team actions have shown they have no interest in fighting any of these 3 regardless of what they may say , Actively chasing the best is something almost no fighter today does and should be given major props. And probably seen as more impressive and rated above beating a long list of what’s considered the 2nd tier HWs who are all rated in the 5-10 range
AJ has the better resume but has more
To do with the fact like Canelo generate so much $ they can offer opponets a higher purse and more
Exposure. other fighters will choose them every time over anyone else in the division , ,’AJ/Canelo can Get any fight they want when they want it . That’s the reason both have at such a young age are able to compile great resumes and AJ was able get those 3 straps so quickly. But Wilder has held his belt longer and is basically in the top 10 longest reigning HW champs in the history of the sport surrounded by nothing but greats. That’s impressive regardless of how you view the quality of most his opponents.
For me it’s AJ #1 , Wilder # 2 Because it’s only been recently he’s gone after the best available , But hes made a serious case to be #1 if things keep going they way they are going
But my opinion doesn’t matter and just hope they fight sooner rather then later, So we’ll be left
With no doubt who’s the man at HWLast edited by R_Walken; 02-24-2019, 07:00 AM.

Holyfield was a great fighter, an icon, even a legend. I'm not too sure on his assessment of Wilder though, who looked quite amateurish and out of ideas against Fury. He did get the two knockdowns which helped him get a dubious draw, but yes, Joshua looks more polished than Fury and Wilder.
