  • Comments Thread For: Parker Withdraws From Talks For Chisora Showdown in April

Weeks after having to move past a planned Anthony Joshua-headlined April 13 show at Wembley Stadium in London, efforts to put together a worthy lineup for a rumored April 20 card at London's O2 Arena are so far proving equally futile. The latest fallout on the latter show comes in a targeted showdown between veteran heavyweight contender Dereck Del Boy' Chisora and former heavyweight titlist Joseph Parker. Plans for such a pairing are no longer on the books, as New Zealand's Parker is officially looking for another fight after increasing displeasure over the manner in which negotiations were handled.

No need to fight Chisora when Bob can match you up with The Lineal Champ.

Fury vs. Parker on ESPN? Maybe that's why he's pulling out of the talks?

Every negotiation Hearn is involved in turns to ****.
How can a promoter be this bad at making fights?
That must be 5 fights in a row that he has ruined.

It seems impossible for Eddie to negotiate a competitive fight. So we can expect all his guys to be fighting bums for the rest of there careers under him. Mis-matchroom living up to there name.

So that’s Whyte, Parker, Chisora, Fury, Breazeale and Wilder all needing a fight to be made. Seems strange that the Joshua Miller fight is the only one booked at the moment - looked for a long while like Joshua would be the odd man out. Fury’s deal has had quite the effect down the chain.

Fast Eddie tried to pull a fast one. Giving Parker a short training camp again.

All of Parker's interviews always left me with the impression he's chasing paychecks instead of glory. I thought his plan was to stomp around the domestic level and rack a few checks then cash in and make a final HW title run, maybe a Fury fight speeds up that plan.

That’s the first thing that came to my mind

Parker about to lose again to a British fighter
