Parker and Fury both have a bad reputation for fan unfriendly fights so probably not the best match up. Fury looks best against a puncher.

The latest fallout on the latter show comes in a targeted showdown between veteran heavyweight contender Dereck Del Boy' Chisora and former heavyweight titlist Joseph Parker. Plans for such a pairing are no longer on the books, as New Zealand's Parker is officially looking for another fight after increasing displeasure over the manner in which negotiations were handled.

          Was Parker really any good?

          Serious question.

Joe Joyce-Bermane Stiverne upgraded to WBA eliminator
            Patrick Stumberg
            February 21, 2019:

The WBA heavyweight title situation remains profoundly ******.

With Manuel Charr-Fres Oquendo finally off the table, perhaps for good this time, “regular” champ Charr’s next mandatory opponent will be decided by this Saturday’s bout between Joe Joyce and Bermane Stiverne. This is despite there being, for reasons unbeknownst to anyone who doesn’t get off on sanctioning fees, an “interim” champion in Trevor Bryan...

Parker is a good fighter but he’s lazy .... he moves well and has decent power but seems to take too many breaks during fights

Lacks the grit at top level in my opinion .

Whyte isnt a easy night for any current heavyweight to be fair but he will never get any love on this site

Right move by Parker. He is already down by a coupe of rounds by fighting in the UK against a domestic fighter.

He is a decent heavyweight, only issue was Hearn made him out to be something special to boost interest in the Joshua unification.

Tier 2 fighter right now. He's good, he's just not the best.

He's also the youngest of the main crop/current/ex-champs. Just turned 27. Whereas:

                      Wilder is 33
                      Joshua is 29
                      Whyte is 30
                      Fury is 30

He desperately needs to get away from Kevin Barry, first and foremost. Otherwise, he might not make that "next step". Still a few years away from his prime, if he gets the right trainer.
