There was no way FURY's team would allow him to rematch WILDER. He would get flattened and his career would of suffered.

I guess they figure they'll fight old Shannon Briggs and that'll get him the US following that allows him to avoid Wilder rematch without consequence.
Fighting old names made many fighters a reputation and lots of money....

Avoiding Wilder isn't hard. Right or wrong, most people already believe he beat Wilder and got screwed on the score cards.

Fury has two trump cards (that was a pun) to make big in America

          1. He’s a bible basher
          2. He thinks he’s Irish

Those are two massive chunks of the American population covered . Plus he’s got the mental health angle .

Have to agree he’s not very fun to watch though .... we shall see

So why aren’t they fighting on other networks currently? I mean they coin the “Otherwise of the street” phrase. Anyways we would see if Wilder fights on the other side of the street if ESPN wins a purse bid.

If I was Wilder and can't get the fury rematch say **** Fury and fight Whyte (good fight) then aim for AJ at end of the year with a immediate rematch clause. Leave fury in the wind go make 80m in 3 fights fighting AJ 2x and Whyte . Let breazeale fight Joyce or Ortiz if the Whyte breazeale fight gets cancelled

Just like no A side fighter from another promotion has fought on another network. Haymon has put up his fighters to fight GGG and Canelo on HBO PPV for the right price. Arum will never allow any of his fighters to fight on Showtime or DAZN. Only time is if he loses a purse bid, buts that's usually for a fighter building up his name.

Your last few posts have given a few "in general" comments, but nothing specific about Fury. Non-hardcore American fans know Fury because he fought Wilder. They know he is the dude who rose up from a KO like the Undertaker in WWE. Tell me why they are going to pay to see him fight on ESPN+ or ppv? He isn't Mayweather, not even close, so how is will he become an attraction? How will he be a draw without Wilder or Joshua?

I see what you did there! Those are his only two plays because while the Americans love a feel good story, they like an underdog more. Rudy or Rocky...take a pick. That's what made Fury attractive, he was the hard luck underdog. Not sure he can keep that image up fighting the low end of the heavyweight landscape.
