I recall Judah said NO Rematches before the loss to Tszyu. So when Judah lost, he put his foot in his mouth and Tszyu never gave him a rematch.

Why Would Mayweather Duck Margarito?

It's just funny how Mayweather signs to fight Zab Judah right when he loses to Baldomir, I honestly hope someone destroys Mayweather.

Originally posted by DiegoFuegoJudah never stopped asking for a rematch is the point. Nobody is bashing Tszyu for not giving him a rematch. Tszyu was considering fighting Judah for the Welterweight Championship before he lost to Hatton if you all have any kind of memory whatsoever. But like I said, Judah asked for a rematch for YEARS, proving he wanted it. Barrera has said nothing about Pacquiao, despite Pacquiao saying he would fight him again. HBO wants it and Pacquiao wants it.
Pacquiao wanted it
Everyone in the Phillipines wanted it
Everyone in America wanted it
All the Mexicans wanted it
All the people that watch boxing wanted it
This was the fight I was looking forward to the MOST!
**** Marco Antonio Barrera...#1 p4p my ****ing ASS!
I used to be a fan of him, BUT it's been WAY to ****ing long..

But everything he says about Margarito to make him into an average fighter with no chance other than a "lucky punch," steps on his own toes, because...
If Margarito is such an average fighter, wouldn't Floyd jump on $8.5M like a fly to honey? LOL The title of his article is appropriate, yet he doesn't answer his own question. If Floyd turns down the $8.5M to fight Margarito, then barring some elaborate explanation, it is a dodge. And why would he do that if he isn't apprehensive about fighting him? The guy should answer his own question if he's going to ask it in the title. LOL
The Thomas and Mack is booked in Nov, so it has to be in Oct. Floyd could absolutely switch dates, and Arum could fill a new Nov card and make the fight happen. But Floyd is not interested in fighting Margarito, period. As soon as Arum said it has to be Oct, then Floyd starts repeating "Nov 4th" over and over again like a parrot, making that into a ready-made excuse. Meanwhile, if he wanted the fight, it would happen in two seconds. He made the Judah fight stick, even with the Judah loss, making excuses and repeatedly apologizing for Judah's performance against Baldomir. "If it makes dollars, then it makes sense." Well Margarito is the biggest payday of his career, gift-wrapped and laid at his feet with no strings attached.
Poor article and very one-sided, really.
Nobody makes note of when Arum offered De La Hoya some crazy amount to face Margarito and De La Hoya said at a presser that he was not interested in a Margarito fight. Then they offer Wright only 4mill, but offer Mayweather 8mill because Arum said Wright had an advantage to beat him, more so than Mayweather. Offer a fighter you think you could beat more money, but offer a guy you think may win less knowing that he will turn the offer down when he hears the amount of money on the table.

It seems strangely masochistic....that Pacfans are looking for another fight with Barrera. That's pretty sad.
Pac should fight someone on his level, IE move up in weight and face a real challenge like Corrales or Freitas.
Oh and I didin't want to turn this into a discussion about Pacquiao, but since we're discussing rematches then wtf.
back on topic.
Oh and it's obvious that Floyd didin't think the 8 million dollars Arum offered him was enough. Simply because that would have been the biggest payday of his career....and he declined. That to me means he weighed the risk and rewards of that prospect fight.
If the fight wasn't the least bit threatening to Floyd....he would have never turned down 8 million dollars to fight Margarito in the first place. That's just simple business.

Regardless, it's a bad comparison and a completely different situation from Margarito-Mayweather as Barrera has already fought Pacquiao once and he got his ass kicked. MAB has a reason to not want to fight Manny again right now. In contrast, Mayweather hasn't given Margarito his chance yet and seems unwilling to do so.
You would have a valid comparison here if Barrera had never given Pacquiao his shot, but that isn't the case.

De La Hoya's resume is already built, and fans understand that he is choosing wisely for his final fight. Mayweather still has things to prove, so the fans are correct in not letting Floyd off the hook for turning down $8 million to fight Margarito.

Let's forget Margo's Mexican and PBF is P4P king. PBF should take the fight and quit waiting for a fight with DLH that might not ever happen. He should take the 8 mil and fight Margo now and shut up all the critics. Let's face it, those two are the biggest names at 147, they should go at it. This might even put PBF in a better position to ask for more $ in a fight with DLH, if DLH wants to fight him next year and if he can get past Margo.
