Lmao pretty much but it's a little more complicated than that. He knows some fans are going to give him accolades regardless of if he earns them through fights or not. A lot of fans especially on boxingscene are driven so much by the hate of other boxers that logic goes out the window smh.

He second guessed taking the rematch , gave his entire purse to a charity when its been exposed that charities usually take donations and spend it mostly on themselves an not the issues their supposed to be helping with, lost massive amount of weight even more than he ever has even during his off time, seemed obsessed with Wilder and now made a move that likely puts off the Wilder vs Fury 2 fight!

That right hand needs to be put in a museum when Wilder retires!
All you said is hilarious and TRUE at the same time. This is EXACTLY how I feel also. It's the same reason Fury kept pulling out of the rematches with Klitschko. He knew he was fortunate to get the Win/draw in the first fights and does not want to risk losing the rematches with the possibility that his opponents would have improved. It's a simple as that.

He as doubts that he may get knockout the next time because he became dangerously close to being knockout the last time
This is exactly what happened. People may not want to admit it because they hate Wilder so much but Fury knows the possble outcome of the rematch especially after Divine intervention helped him get up from those punches in the last round. It's the same reason he never rematched Klitschko.

Without question; Wilder started to time him much earlier in that bout which set up that knockdown. If Deontay was able to catch him once then he would be able to catch him again and finish him this time.

Yup me too. You have to read between the lines. There is a video where he said something like "let Wilder and Joshua battle it out and come see the king afterwards" or something like that. He knows what can happen to him in a rematch it's the same reason he didn't rematch Klitschko.

If the rematch doesn't materialize, Deontay is the certified boogie man of boxing.
boy you lost every single round except two! you hit him with your best shot and still couldn't keep fury down. that was against a fury who was not at a 100 percent. you lost that fight. fury made you look like the sloppy bum that you are. fury would have easily won the rematch.

And like I said ESPN and Fury don't care about losing a purse bid he has no belt in the first place no matter how much DAZN or Showtime wins a purse bid.

What's going to happen is ESPN will give him a date and bum opponent and a ton of money and Fury will tell the WBC he doesn't want a rematch and doesn't want a purse bid. He takes himself out of the running for the WBC belt and Joshua owns the remaining belts. Fury is going to bank on calling himself Lineal champ and that he doesn't need a belt and keep fighting on.
Exactly this. He is fine with not being the unified Champion as longs as there are idiots that will defend his cowardice.
