He was tentatively scheduled to fight Adrien Broner but got a DUI charge thus the fight was canceled but then Jessie Vargas stood up as the fill in.

Omar Figueroa is slowly becoming a gatekeeper. He was always known for his high workrate and cardiovascular conditioning.

He displayed none of that against an older, past his prime, low risk, shop worn, diminished fighter on the decline in John Molina. I believe that the fight he had with the Japanese boxer Nihito Arakawa may have ruined him because outside of the Robert Guerrero KO he has not looked the same since.

In addition to ballooning up in weight his skills are slowly deteriorating. Perhaps it's due to hand problems. However, in any case once he steps up his level of opposition he will get exposed.

It's sad to hear those... (I didn't watch the fight because I forgot about it)... I liked this kid a lot but he seems he can't deliver professionally... which is somehow understandable: Omar has brittle hands and he used to rely on volume and power (not paying attention to defense)... on another hand he can't go down at 140 anymore... eh...

Sucks for Molina. The judge that had it 9-1 Omar needs to be taken out back & shot. He's no good for boxing if that's what he saw.

And the 8-2 Omar judge needs to be taken to watch the 9-1 judge get shot & afterwards when we ask him some questions if he don't give the right answers he needs to get shot too.

I'll leave the 7-3 Omar judge alive as a witness to what happened to the other two judges & to tell the tale to other judges what happens sometimes when you turn in a completely bs scorecard.

It was a fùcking draw, and I would have won 300 fùcking Euros if those suckers had scored it as it really was.

Omar looked flabby... 2.5 years of trust showed... I like Omar so I will give proper assessment after 2 more fights....
