It’s a no risk fight against a household name, at one point after the Alexander win khan was regarded as a legitimate challenge for mayweather or Pacquiao and was highly regarded by a lot of US journalists. His stock has dropped a lot since then but it’s not the worst name to have on your CV.
Maybe I’m naive or just like to look for the best in people, I think trump is an a55hole but he won that election because Hilary is a tw4t. I don’t believe the majority of folks over there are racist.

Lay out the ******. USA USA USA.

It's just the quantity of money involved and the fact they'll put it on PPV. I do think it's weird.

When you are paying 1 guy that amount of money albeit a faded name and nobody thinks they can win you've got to look for an angle. And in boxing it's usually something a bit unsavoury.

    Tbh pays Khan's pension.

It is a fight that genuinely annoys me though. Call me cynical.

If anything can happen in boxing which actually it usually doesn't. This fight would be good one for anything to happen.

But really. $5 mill? And they come up with Khan.

    It's a genuine wtf fight.

Even if the race isn't an angle it's still a horrific pure value for money match up.

*** are you guys talking about, khan is way more famous in the UK than the US. Theres 300 million people in the US, most of them have no idea who the *** khan is. They never heard of him. Boxing is not popular at all in the US, even if it brings more money than other countries.

        Disgusting.
one is haymond fighter, one is arum fighter.

we just lived this with pac and may fighting 5 years past the peak demand for that fight and now maybe fighting a rematch 10 years past peak demand for that fight.

It will keep happening until TR and haymond can work together on more than undercard tier fights.

Exactly!!! And those UK fans are the reason these BS fights get made with khan. Because they still support his sorry a__ (for whatever reason). And its definitely not skills, heart, chin, power, or anything else associated with boxing, so I dunno why they choose to support him so much (as opposed to say Kell Brook, who has always been a better boxer than Khan)

Yeah, that's pretty much the consensus. If it had not been so then Crawford would have never taken the fight. At this point, Khan is well past it and is damaged goods now.
