Pancho Villa won the title in 1922, 12 years before Baby Arizmendi. You said Pancho Villa ******, here are the records for both

    Panch Villa - 73wins 5losses 22Ko's 4 draws
    Baby Arizmendi - 71wins 26losses 13ko's 13 draws

So not only did the Philippines have a champ before Mexico, he was also much better as the record would indicate. So your contention that Pancho Villa ****** is bull ****.

What are you trying to say? That Fillipinos are better cause Pancho Villa's record was better then the Mexican? LOL.

Fighters fight bums, adding more wins to their record. So that doesnt mean ****.

And like i said, my point is that Filipinios dont like boxing as much as Mexicans, its a fact, If there was no Pacquiao, there would be hardly any Filipino boxing fans.

And btw, the Mexican revoluton started in 1910 and ended in 1920, and we still had a champion in that time LOL!!

How do you know Filipinos don't like boxing as much as Mexicans? It is just that we haven't had any recent boxers of late until Pacquiao. Boxing was dying in the Philippines while it was flourishing in latin America due to the fact that the WBC had passed the torch to Jose Suliman who decided that he was going to rule the council forever. The fact the Philippines was part of the 12 countries that created the WBC ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Boxing_Council ) goes to show that at one point in boxing history, Filipinos were really into boxing unlike what you suggest. There is no denying that there was a bias under the leadership of Suliman for hispanic, preferably Mexican fighters over Asians. The ranking system was flawed and Filipinos were all of a sudden non factors outside of Asia. But do a search before Suliman's era and that is when you will see that we were actually a force to be reckoned with. Not util recently have we started making noise again. I'm not going to say we are on Par with the current crop of Mexican fighters but we have just recently been re-introduced to glory and it will take time to catch up. There was a point in time, however, that we were competing and winning in this sport. The time has come again and hopefully it does not die with our current crop of fighters and, I'll be the first to admit, that we are underdogs to the experienced Mexican trainers and fighters who have been evolving while we were in hibernation.

It is also fun to have a rivalry, I am not saying we are on the level as PR as rivals to Mexico but because of the internet and the recent trend of migration of Pinoy's to the U.S. you will hear our loud ass Pinoy voices rooting for our fighters. You should welcome the influx of Pinoy's back into the game. It just got a whole lot more interesting. Don't tell me you aint excited to see Suico get waxed so you can come on here and talk smack. Thats what im sayin. Just recognize, thats all we ask for. Our fighters have shown the courage and heart that deserves respect and recognition. Just let us have our fun in the meanwhile. So what if our fighters are fighting Mexico's tomato cans right now. We are re-learning and eventually you will see more than a Pinoy whoopin on a 2nd rate Mexican. Hopefully you see that this weekend when Suico KO's Diaz.

...and thank you for not coming back at me with something hatefull. I don't agree with JCC being a Gatti because he beat every top fighter in his prime and was ring magazines number one p4p for a long time. People only want to talk about what JCC did in the 90's when he was not even in his prime anymore, yet he was still better than alot of champs during that time, and just shows how great Chavez was. Oscar beat him twice(first one stopped on a cut) but even a washed up Chavez gave Oscar a run for his money in the second fight. About Sal, he was great and could have gone off to do even more great things but his life was ended short so thats why I always place JCC ontop of Sal.

I actually asked my dad what he thought about Pinoy's being in the mix and he said it's a good thing cause it just adds a whole new excitment to the sport. I belive the only ones that take this too out of hand are the younger ones (especially us when one of our fighters loses, we take anger out on each other ). **** man, it doesn't feel good seeing someone like Manny_p post some sig that shows Pac beating the crap out of our fighter then placing "Pac>Mexican champs" also.

And you are who to decide this? You must be "iwatchboxings" brother or ****** twin.

              Heres some names

              Ruben Oliveras
              Carlos Zarate
              J.C.Chavez
              Miguel Canto
              Ricardo Lopez
              Humberto Gonzalez
              Lupe Pintor
              Jose Napoles
              Salvador Sanchez
              and others

Mexicans know absolutely NOTHING about boxing, all they know is how to hit and get hit. How many Mexicans with the exception of Salvador Sanchez have you seen that can actually BOX and that fights out of Mexico?
              Heres a list:

              Salvador Sanchez
Ruben Olivera - could box if he wanted to.
J.C.Chavez - could box if he wanted to.
              Manuel Medina
              Martin Castillo
              Juan Manuel Marquez
              Miguel Canto
              Humberto Gonzalez
              Daniel Zaragoza
              Lupe Pintor
              Ricardo Lopez
              and others

It's funny how DeLaHoya is hated so much because he has a different style and can actually hit and NOT get hit!
              DeLaHoya >>>>> Chavez
You really shouldn't talk about what you don't know.

I don't care for how many years Mexico has had a boxing history. It's all quantity rather than quality, they have not had even one fighter that was a actual legend with the exception of Salvador Sanchez.
You kid are a joke of a boxing fan!

Sal Sanchez, JCC, Finito Lopez are all better in my book. Just my opinion.

I should go into my boxing Ring Magazine Collecition and dig out the Ring Mazagine top 100 boxers in the last -i think it was- 30 year or so. And Julio Cesar Chavez was Placed -i think it was 3 or 4th.
