      Look at UFC.

A monopoly means more good fights happen.

More promoters means more segregation of fighters and more network battles.

One promoter establishing themselves as the powerhouse of boxing, will make future fighters go there because they know that's where the popular fights are, where the money is, and where the exposure is.

Well, some might argue, with the amount of fighters that Haymon already has, that he isn't making competitive fights. And I know they aren't across the board. Greedy businessmen.

You can't exhaust all the matchups like 1, 2, 3. All consecutively, you have to build fights afterall. Or else fighters will just have 10 pro fights and retire.

If you look at it, he actually has put his best fighters against eachother or against other good fighters from other companies.

            Thurman vs DSG?
            Thurman vs Porter?
            Porter vs DSG?
            Wilder vs Fury?
            Stevenson vs Gvozdyk?
            Mikey vs Easter?
            Stevenson vs Jack?
            LSC vs Frampton
            Alvarez vs Kovalev

The list goes on, but the pace that some fans want some fighters to fight the best fights possible, back to back to back to back is unsustainable for both the "businessman" and the fighter.

I'm still wondering how he managed to get everybody but could not get clenelo over to pbc LMAO! talk about a botched job! he's the biggest cash cow in boxing and still very young he'll ensure gpb survives for the next ten years at least. oscar also has munigia gbp will be fine who knows maybe he'll find another clenelo!
There's no doubt, that Golden Boy Promotions has arguably and unquestionably the biggest cash cow in the sport of boxing today in Canelo Alvarez. There's no denying that truth but that's just one fighter.

However at the same time, compared to the PBC, their talent roster and boxing stable is very sparse and that's a fact. It's almost to the point of being pathetic.

Also, back to your point about Canelo Alvarez; It was Richard Schaefer who had indeed founded, discovered and signed Ginger to a Golden Boy Promotions contract and not Oscar De La Hoya.
