It seems like Haymon is very reluctant to make fights that build lasting legacy. No Hurd/Charlotte fights, no Spence/Thurman fight, no Santa Cruz/Russell fight etc. $$$$ is all he seems to offer. That's not all bad but I sure would like to see some of those fights.

I believe DAZN rolled the dice with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA because he didn't fully understand the latest American marketing trends when it comes to the sport of boxing.

When you look at his live stream cards online you can see a bevy of empty seats in the arenas. Edward thought that he could come into the American boxing market and swoop up all of Al Haymon's fighters but boy was he wrong and sadly mistaken.

He miscalculated because Albert now has his own dates to fulfill with his Fox and Showtime platforms. Therefore, Eddie shouldn't expect to lease anymore of the PBC's talent pool in order to subsidize his platform DAZN.

Bullshit! The PBC is more than twice the size of both Golden Boy Promotions and Matchroom Boxing combined. That's why Eddie Hearn is constantly poaching for PBC talent. He thought DAZN's deep pockets would help entice and lure Haymon's fighters away from him and the PBC. However his plan has failed and backfired. The upside is that Edward has a two year window in order to make this venture work. However, after that he's done.
