Not so worried about the paper title. That bit is meaningless.

WBC doing strange things. Ordering a mandatory title defence against a non-mandatory, then ordering their number one ranked fighter to fight their 4 ranked mandatory!

But it does bring everything to a conclusion. They'll have a proper titlist, a proper mandatory, and a bit of credibility to be restored to the belt.

I can't imagine Breazeale will be too happy. Passed over for a title fight as mandatory, now he'll have to fight Whyte just to hold that mandatory status.

Should be two cracking fights though!

Not sure if Eddie wins the Purse Bid...haven't been winning many of them as of lately. Also A LOT of money tied up into AJ vs Big Baby, so much so that even he admitted days ago that he would likely lose a Purse Bid BUT he was talking about Wilder vs Fury

Again we shall see but I could see a deal being reached. Whyte kinda controls his own situation so he can go in and negotiate for himself

If I was AJ and Wilder beats Fury (doubt it though), I would make Wilder face Whyte. No more ducking.

Yeah that's different. He knows he'll lose the purse bid for Wilder-Fury.

AJ Miller is DAZN money. Whyte-Brezeale would be Sky PPV Money. Two different budgets.

Haymon won't be putting Whyte-Brezeale on PPV so I'd be shocked if Hearn lost that one. Hearn is under pressure from Sky as it is he can't afford to lose that one.

You think Espinoza is gonna put the fight on US PPV or is gonna pay PPV money to put Whyte vs Breazeale on Showtime or do some sorta ITV & Showtime Presents PPV in the UK?

I don't. I don't think this fight makes much sense in the US first off. This has Sky PPV written all over it to me.

If it does become some bidding war fight I don't suspect it'd be that serious cuz I think Hearn & Espinoza both got bigger things they got their hands in then a interim title fight.

Is this THAT against PBC? I don't see it as a big deal. Wilder has had a mando coming. And WBC Guy often has these enlightened outlooks on things that seem less corrupt then most ABC Group moves so this is in his wheelhouse.

But I am curious what are you suggesting or potentially implying with this move by the WBC? Whyte turncoated to PBC or something? Or the WBC has flipped alliances or something?

Purse bid only a month before the fight?

Again, we will just have to wait and see not that it matters who wins the bid I think it is a entertaining stylistic match up. It will be on Showtime in the States though most likely.

They'll come to a deal swiftly I'd imagine.
