I believe the reason why he punches harder because he is fighting heavier than his natural weight class. If he just so happens to cut weight he would probably lose some power.

He is very similar to the Prince Naseem Hamed a natural bantamweight fighting at a 118 lbs. However once the Prince starting packing on the muscles and pounds to the 126 lbs division; He carried more power and started packing a much harder punch as opposed to the Bantamweight division.

Could he have been juicing at the time; Perhaps but there was no evidence or proof to suggest that he was. The point I'm making is that his some fighters tend to develop more punching power as they move up above their natural weight class.
I previously answered you (while you were editing, I guess)...

"Unfortunately, Davis (like Broner) is too muscle packed for lower divisions... (do you even see Tank fighting Mikey at 140???)" ...

Yes I can envision Tank fighting Mikey at 140. However I disagree with your assessment about Davis' build. While it's true that Broner may be too muscular for the lower weight classes due to his wide and broad shoulders but not Tank Davis because he is naturally smaller than AB. Davis appears very round and portly to me; Even at the smaller weight classes. He does not appear muscular at all. After all he is 5'4 and appears very short and dumpy at 130.

... Sure, Broner has a bigger frame, but he's only 5' 6" (while Davis is 5' 5½")... Mikey is 5' 6" as well... the reach difference among these three fighters is also insignificant... but still, Davis looks as the "midget" of these three...

look at rigondueuax he's one of the most skilled boxers ever and black. where was his black fan base? He had none! people just don't care about the smaller weigh classes. anything below welterweight will never get the same mainstream popularity that sugar ray leonard de la hoya or Pacquiao got.
