I understand what floyd is trying to do but with the exception of maybe 4 or 5 fighters in floyds early days he didnt hand pick fighters he called out everybody and nobody wanted to fight him and when he did he would demolish them so bad.
Floyd got his recognition by dominating really good fighters like hernandez, manfredy and soon to be corrales but the key word is good fighters, davis hasnt fought 1 hernandez or corrales thats my issue. People forget floyd has been on the p4p list since 98 or 99.
The competition has to got better and floyd didnt get his on ppv until gatti almost 10 years into his career.

PPV star? Fighting who? He wants to wait until Loma is 40 or in severe decline. He likely would never get in the ring with Mikey. Where are the names? Unless he plans on some cross-appeal with MMA or getting him some face time in Hollywood, Tank will never see a lucrative PPV event, especially not on his own drawing power. He will need to get in the ring with an established star.

Once Mayweather Promotion gets another cash cow prospect, then they would ease out on Tank and let him fight more challenging/risky opponents. They don't want to end up like 50 cent who gambled away his one and only cash cow in Gamboa. Look where he is now in his boxing endeavor.
But I understand that we are not bidnessmen here. We want a fight between the best of the best, upcoming prospect vs his equal stature and not mismatches after mismatches. What to do about this? I guess just try not to spend money anything related to it so that you let them know that if they won't change the way they conduct business they won't earn anything from you either. Apart from that we are at the mercy of casual fans who brings the bulk of the profit in fights. This is the reality of what's happening.

I think the key word here is “become.” I agree with most posters he’s going to have to excitingly beat up a few top dogs over the next few years to get up there.
With that said, he has a chance. Based on his social media following and his name starting to ring bells in the hip hop community, a few big fights with some well known opponents and he can be on his way.
Maybe a few bad publicity things out there to ****e it up and make people pay more attention.
As for personality, he’s like a young Mike. Quiet, not much of a talker with his mouth, and green to dealing with the media.
I believe him and Errol Spence JR are going to dominate boxing for a while. They both are too nice but you can see what is going to end up happening. Eventually, they will both become villains and everyone will hate them and pay to see if they lose. They just have to keep winning and when the step up in competition comes, they need to continue to make good fighters look average.
Davis and Tank are not going to stay reserved and quiet for much longer. Eventually, the nature of the business and the frustration of never getting the credit you deserve will open them up to a more entertaining out the ring presence. Mark my post.

Amen to that. He has a long road ahead of him, with a small following. Only advantage he currently has, is youth.

Anything is possible, but he'll likely have to adopt a heel persona, and maintain his winning streak. Mayweather's biggest feat was becoming so polarizing that people paid to see him win AND lose. Good enough to be loved, and good enough of a jackass to be hated. They'll pay either way, and teaching that to Davis might be the ticket. As it is now though, he barely has a brand or a resume.
