he has sharp crisp power and the skills to land well timed/well disguised shots, but I would never call him heavy handed based on what I have seen

Btw, 2019 Canelo is not 154-155 Canelo. But I do think Michelle Joy Phelps got a phat ass doe

Is PRIME CANELO NOW 160 28 years of age, can he KO any of those style opponents from those - “22 KO’s in row?”

Easier to understand when better referenced yes?
Shouldn't you be asking could he KO ALL of those 22 not ANY of those 22.

And GGG had never fought like that. And didn't allow his back to touch the ropes. Shows how versatile he is

You'll never criticise canelo though. Canelo has a soft spot in Mayweather fans heart. The better canelo looks the better Floyd looks

There is an amusing twist to this perception though. I have to wonder if folk who take this stance will also consider that Canelo's future successes will also reflect postively on Golovkin since he showed himself to be at the very least on a similar footing to a prime Canelo even at the age of 36.

Personally I don't really subscribe to that way of thinking... in fact this whole childish 'my fighter is better than yours' stuff strikes me as ridiculous, but I'm curious to see whether there are any attempts to rationalise taking one position but not the other.

Canelo has power. If he doesn't, GGG would have walked all over him. Canelo has always been in shape, so that should not come as a surprise. I am not sure of canelo is getting better as he had always been consistent and highly skilled. In the 2nd GGG fight, he just fought GGG the way he should have fought in the first fight. I was surprised he fought so cautiously when he has the skills to actually trade with GGG in the first fight. In the 2nd fight, we saw the canelo that should have turned up previously. Still in the 2nd fight, I saw canelo slowing down in the later rounds due to stamina issues and that allowed GGG to get a 2nd wind, making it a closer fight. Canelo still needs to sort his stamina issue out IMO.

He has more arsenal and sharp punches but not heavier puncher.
More speed. But no anecdotes of how hard he hits

I must say, Jacobs seems to have power easily rated at 168, as does GGG.

However, now that Canelo in his recent pad work with Eddy Reynoso, he doesn’t look as fast as 154 age workouts, though he’s moving Reynoso easier off his feet.

I was impressed how Jacobs could move GGG a bit easier than Canelo did in the first fight, that’s debatable, but is the current Canelo more heavy handed than both Golovkin and Jacobs ever were?
I watched the GGG/Jacobs fight a week or two ago to judge again because people were calling my card BS (I still scored it 115-112 G) but I was blown away at how small G looked in that fight.

solid puncher above average and has enough to get his opponents respect but he is no killer with his power alone i think his best asset is that goddamn pitbull neck that seems to absorb punches easily
