Lol none of that is to be taken in account. To bash Loma is crazyComment

So now we are counting catchweights that are in the opponent's favor? LMAO! At least JMM had the boys to fight Floyd after a 2 yr layoff, since Pacquiao refused a 50-50 split with no drug testing.
Floyd-Maidana had two belts on the line because Floyd had both. Duuuhhhh!
And your last "point"? It makes absolutely no sense.
JMM was two fights removed from 130.
Err, your timeline was waaaaay off. Floyd-Pac was not on the table when Floyd-JMM fight was made .WTF are you talking about ?
Floyd-Maidana 1 did not have to the WBA jr middle belt on the line b/c it was not a jr middle fight . Neither one was allowed to go over 147.
Just like SRL-LaLonde was a farce light heavy title fight at 168.
Do I need to teach you boxing history ?
You make absolutely no sense and sounds like your memory is shot .Comment

Stop being an idiot! Floyd said "I want a fighter to be at their best, I dont do catch weights". He said: "I look at Miguel Cotto as an undefeated fighter because he faced Pacquiao, but Pacquiao caught him at a catch weight.” He also said "If a fighter is at his best at 154 and he’s strong and he’s solid, then that’s the fight we’re fighting at". Floyd is a hypocrite and my point still stands.Comment

So just as Floyd fought Pacmans leftovers like Miguel Cotto and went the distance?
Loma is #1 P4P and Davis isnt ranked anywhere at the P4P level.
Loma = real man/fighter always trying to fight the best available opponent vs Davis = protected paperchamp handpicking soft opposition.Comment

When every reputable boxing outlet/website lists Loma as the one of the top P4P in the world there might be something to it, wont you agree? Just compare the level of his opposition to Tanks. Tank has faced one decent name, Loma faced 5+.
Nobody is talking about his flaws in the ring, the reality is that he is being protected from real opponents in his own division, bringing up undersized dudes who are coming from a loss is terrible and theres no way to look bad against the #37 ranked fighter who was coming up 1-2 weight classes.
Wouldnt you have celebrated when Floyd or Tank announced that he wants to face Loma next? Or Berchel? Arent you totally dissappointed that they were making excuses and probably have him fight undersized Mares next who is damaged goods?
Imagine that certain people here are actual boxing fans and not just nationalistic diggriders, people want to see the best vs the best at their best. Tank vs Loma or Berchelt, or even Farmer next would be a good fight or not? I dont get people like you defending more mismatches just because you like a fighter.Comment

In his entire career Floyd only faced 3 undefeated opponents and all of them were fighting at a huge disadvantage.
Hatton, champion at superlightweight was forced to move up a whole weightclass to face the much bigger Floyd.
Canelo who was even younger than Tank, still growing and could barely make 154 was forced to drain himself to 152.
Corrales had significant weight problems prior to the Floyd fight, he wanted the fight to happen at 135 but Floyd demanded the fight to happen at 130 and that showed in the fight.
Here is a good article about it: https://lasvegassun.com/news/2001/ja...les-fight-flo/
Larry, you dont want to see the best vs best AT THEIR BEST, you only care about your idols/heroes to win, no matter what, and no matter the advantages. Floyds resume looks good when you dont know the context, if you analyze it its not.Comment
