Yeah that’s about all I can think of also , if it ever gets off the ground

They had to know in advance that there’d be possibly a $ issue with the tournaments this year I don’t get how/why they’d expand the tournament to 3 divisions instead of just 2 or
Just focus on 1 weight class. Because last year was dope especially the CW bracket and seemed to run smooth , This year seems like it’s disorganized and and hanging on by a thread and can implode at any moment

If they get GGG then things will get very interesting.
... "massive" in terms of what?... in terms of "business", I suspect... They will protect their business investment in the detriment of boxing seen as actual competition... (Canelo is set to win all his fights in order to secure DAZN with RoI...)

This may be somewhat misleading as Canelo and Joshua alone eat up over half the annual budget over on DAZN per year.

Agree , To have access and be willing to spend
200 million annually on boxing. You’d have to believe that better fights and fighters would be on the platform

I mean it’s Canelo and AJ ( who isn’t even popular in the States ) and a Handful or good fighters that have no fans

How can they possibly think this strategy of investing so much into a niche sport and put on mostly avg to who gives a sh.it fights to attract enough subscribers to think about being profitable

Like I said I’m in their target market I should want to throw my $ at this. But I haven’t even bought it yet because it’s mostly sub par who cares fights. And it probably doesn’t help I’m neither a Canelo or AJ fan so they actually have to fight a decent opponent for me to care about their fights.

... that's why I mentioned RoI (return of investment)...

... right... when I mentioned a supposed DAZN "hidden business agenda", I didn't mean boxing or combat sports, but rather other sports -- which represent the main market in the U.S.

All these budgets are pointless when so few top fights are made these days. PBC has had a massive budget for years but has failed in both creating stars and getting their best division, the welterweights, unified.

None of these people have learned from the downfall of HBO boxing.

... They are pointless for us -- the public of this sport... but don't forget that the broadcasters, in their turn, are getting other people's money in order to finance this shit...

But it is the broadcasters who will suffer in the long run.
