WBA Regular belt is trash which can't be unified in one weight category... but it can be held with other belts from different? HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
WBA organization is a POS, but I already knew it anyway.

Why is the WBA a POS? Canelo has held the belt for 45 days. This article is telling readers that the WBA allowed Mayweather to hold a WBA belt at 154 for 2 years without defending it.

What is Alvarez even in violation ofh? lol. It's not even news.

However, I'm hearing rumors that Callum Smith is having a really hard time making 168 that he has no choice but to go to 175. I guess Hearn is seeing that Kovalev is PERHAPS the easiest vs Bivol, Beterbiev, or Gvozdyk. So I'm assuming there are talks about Callum Smith and negotiations for Kovalev in the UK. Could be a huge fight.

Therefore, GBP get to exercise dormancy for the Regular 168 to see how the 168 Super belt becomes vacant. Like BELLEW with in recess diamond state after Makabu to then get dibs to fight Usyk. Or Benavidez who although is suspended has Diamond belt in recess status for automatic title shot.

It's all politics. Nonetheless, this article is basically saying that Canelo is allowed to hold his WBA Regular even though it's been more than 40 days since he won it.

          Canelo is the new Mayweather

I bet my 7 acres land, If Callum Smith fight one fight in 175 lbs like Kovalev an want to go down for whatever reason after that fight, WBA is going to elevate Canelo the super WBA Champion of 168 lbs in 1,2 3 without thinking. Let's face it, he is the face of boxing and the money maker.

                    1. Took away Rigo's belt for loss against Loma in 2 classes heavier division.
                    2. Gifted Gervonta belt after his overweight for winning bum from lower division.
                    3. Gave Gervonta Super belt at the same time downgrading real champion Machado.
                    4. Stripping away Regular champions for unification fights yet not making them mandatory to Super champions.
                    5. Existence of WBA Regular "world champion" belt at all.
6... Yet allow WBA Regular unified with 2 belts in different division...

WBA need to and should scrap that regular tittle...That should be just one champion for each division,I don’t understand whatever its behind this regular champion and then you have a super champion, its all nonsense and confusing especially when they won’t fight each other.
