Jesus that’s disgusting. Then Lemieux vs Canelo so they can call him a 2 time champ at 168

They don’t owe Lemieux anything. G was mandatory for Lemieux’s IBF belt. Lemieux has never been a draw, so the choices are: Fight GGG or drop the title and make nothing.

Bro check your facts... Lemieux had just beaten N’dam for the vacant IBF strap, no mandatory was due or was there any mandatory opponent set for Lemieux at the time the Golovkin fight was made. Facts is David Lemieux for all the BS he gets, is the only MW champ that had the balls to face GGG in his prime. I’m sure Oscar promised Lemieux a fight against Canelo the current MW WBC champ at that time if he took the GGG fight. Oscar hasn’t been able to produce that yet so fighting for this secondary WBA belt should make them even in my eyes.

Regardless of how you word it, it's no excuse for his horrible performance....if you even wanna call it a performance.

I don't give guys credit for showing up and quitting. That's not good for the sport.

Makes sense. He just wanted the title as another notch on his resume. Best to vacate and focus on being the middleweight king.

or hes the only MW champ that GGG ever faced in his whole career. good show for a supposed "MW king".

Glad Canelo moved on from the embarrassing reg belt quickly, only a joke defends a reg/interim belt.
