Ortiz needs to get his managers to work their magic and get him in the top rankings for a shot at one of AJ’s belts!

I looked at the rankings and it’s weird that a considerable top 5 or top 10 heavyweight isn’t even in the top 10 rankings for none of AJ’s belts except for the WBA and he’s barely there at #11!

I also would like Ortiz to put pressure on his promoter to find a way to get the money so his team can start making offers cuz these dudes talk but truly don’t want the smoke!

Whyte , Joshua and Usyk have all called out Ortiz but then didn’t offer him a deal or gave him a low ball offer!

It sucks but Ortiz is still a high risk and low reward fighter, even more so due to him not being undefeated any longer!
Is it weird though? Without even digging at Ortiz what fights has he had in those ranking systems to work his way into the top ten? They have their rules so they can't just put him up there for 'potential' if other guys a fighting higher ranked fighters than what Ortiz is.

But yeah, Ortiz would be a fun fight if the Big Baby fight falls through.
Big baby is not a bigger fight money wise or legacy wise he can’t even sellout 3k seat arenas when Ortiz/wilder had Barclays packed

Joshua should be fighting Ortiz anyway!!! What has Miller done to be in this spot? Quit ducking top competition. Checks are earned in boxing.

          *which Wilder packed.

          Ortiz didn't do ish.

Ortiz would still be a good name on AJ's resume IMO. Not as good as Povetkin, but better than Parker and Takam.

What 7 heavyweights are better than Ortiz (Exclusive of Wilder, Fury, Joshua)? Who are these other guys that are fighting higher ranked guys.

What guys has Ortiz fought to get in the top rankings in all the systems, especially since his loss, is my point?

I'm not attacking his skillset or saying whether those fighters would beat him just that they have probably followed the rules more to acheive their rankings. If you're not fighting guys in the top 50 you can't expect to be ranked top ten across the board.

              Chillout, don't get so defensive.

AJ should sign with PBC (Protected boxing contenders).

I’m with u on that cause I’m sure Hearn DIDNT tell AJ Ortiz people reach out to a fight with him

AJ would retire Ortiz. But hey, at least he'd go out with a decent payday.

I guess the real question from this article is how does Lara keep getting headline opportunities.
