Lomo stayed at 135 lbs. Same weight class Mikey has a WBC title. Mikey moved up to 147 lbs. One guy stayed for a collision the other guy moved up to avoid a collision.

It’s pretty sad how “fans” like that just make things up to suit their narratives and agendas. I’m not even saying Mikey ducked Loma but it was a bit weird that soon as Loma moves up Mikey has one fight and then bolts up two divisions telling the world why a Loma fight can’t happen rather than figuring out how to make it happen.

I think Arum will make the fights. Everyone said his and Rigos grudge would prevent that one and then half this place said he was scared because Rigo would dominate.

I don’t know that Mikey would want to work with Top Rank at all. It’s basically a non-starter. Even Robert Garcia said not long ago it’s a fight he’d want in 4-5 years not now.

My point is the fight was a non-starter due to politics. Maybe Mikey could have tried to hear it out but instead is offered a huge challenge in a big fight and he’s gone for it.

I personally don’t like the fight. I think Spence will destroy him after 4-5 fairly competitive rounds. I hope Mikey gives him a great fight I just don’t see it.

Umm... here is the direct quote that I was replying to... "One guy stayed for a collision the other guy moved up to avoid a collision." In the context of the conversation, "ducking" and "avoiding" generally mean the same exact thing if we are being honest here. I'm not saying that you speak for that particular poster, but the insinuation was that Mikey ran to the Spence fight to avoid the little guy who eats his way up to 135. This is a completely garbage interpretation of the issue.
