I think they are struggling to come to a deal, and this gives them enough time to do so. We all know the WBC are easy to control so not shock here lol.

Wilder is not the second best heavyweight in the world

Fury is probably number one, but Wilder doesn't go UP in the rankings for getting schooled

Also the WBC knows that they really can’t do anything here.

Not even going to criticse them for this, why? Because they have done this in the past. So not shocked that they have given more time. I would shocked if they didn't. They are that easy to control.

I criticized them when then announced the purse bid. It’s useless because they can’t punish either fighter for not taking part. They tried to force Wilder and Fury’s Hand, but they’re both smart enough to know the WBC cant do **** on a voluntary, so they called Mauricio’s bluff.

Purse bid pushed back, because what else they gonna do? Strip wilder and then him and Fury fight for the vacant WBC?

I think the issue is about the rematch clause and the subsequent split.

Wilder probably wants 50/50 in the rematch, which I don't think is right if he loses the 2nd fight.

50/50 for the 2nd fight is fair.

They didn't just call the purse bid for no reason. What they should have done is call their mandatory (Breazeale) but somehow they called a purse bid, that isn't just the WBC's doing, there is someone from both teams working that one for the WBC.

There shouldn't be a goddamn rematch clause if wilder gets comprehensively outboxed again

how many times does fury need to beat this guy?
