He had a Mayweather hat and cheap printed t-shirt like the one's those guys sell for $5 on the bridge from MGM to NY/NY and he was near the lobby and he was screaming "Mar-Keyz was robbed", "Mar-keyz was robbed" and I am feeling pretty down about the decision so I start talking to him and the man has actual tears in his eyes I kid you not. A grown man crying and it get's better. I said "I scored it 9-3 my friends at home said Marquez by by 3 or 4 rounds I spoke to Al Bernstein and some others who said it was a robbery..How did you have it?" and he said "Oh. I didn't see it but Mar-keyz was robbed". He had shown up at the hotel to just hang around "supporting Mayweather" rather than just find a place to watch it or heaven forbid buy a ticket.

Like you I've encountered and since these type of TMT fanboys at fights and it's just utterly bizarre. They do indeed get shot down quickly but what a weird thing to do with yourself. It was like when Marquez KO'd Pacquaio, I saw far too many Mayweather fans trying to take shine off Marquez and make it all about their man who they are obsessed with but not genuine enough fans to attend the bouts. I guess they are scared they'd get rejected by him for creeping him out too much and that would break their hearts?

They are boxer fans not boxing fans.
😂😂😂 I’ve wound up in tonnes of those pointless conversations after fights. I remember I was queueing up for a taxi outside the MGM after Canelo-GGG 1 and the guy in front of me was talking boxing with a friend so I asked them how they scored it? They began trying to suggest Canelo had won based on sustaining less facial damage.

The worse I’ve ever encountered though was the Brook/Matchroom fans after the GGG fight. There were literally hundreds of them claiming Brook was schooling GGG and if not for the eye injury would have easily won the fight and would have even KO’d him, some even started complaining about the referee stopping the fight prematurely when it was the corner who threw the towel in🤣🤣🤣

      Yikes.

The facial damage fans are a quick way of weeding out the casuals IMO.
