Meh. I don't think anyone here thought Kovalev was a nice guy before this allegation. If you parse references from other people who have been involved with him and even his own comments/actions, you get the impression he's kind of bastard.
It wouldn't surprise me if there's some (or alot) of truth to her account of this whole incident. It also wouldn't surprise me if there's just a very little bit of truth. Her account of events, as I read them, deserve some reservation and scrutiny. As for the witness to the event, and I can be wrong, I inferred it was Kovalev's friend that followed her. From the how the last paragraphs were written, it sounded like she was suing the friend as well (for $8 million) and who is also facing felony charges (according to her). I would guess she figures the friend may ultimately provide statements verifying her account. Hard to tell as the language in the accounts is a bit confusing.
As for his boxing career, I suspect Alvarez will end his relevancy with another knockout in the rematch.
