not here to blame calzaghe for ducking pavlik and cowardly fighting a shot fighter. why did hbo enable this to happen is my question? they could have said fight pavlik or get off our network. they actually thought the corpse of roy jones jr vs welsh guy who did the worst ratings on their network was a good idea? thank you for being gone and not being able to make anymore ****** decisions. if they thought this was a good fight that would make them money they deserve to be dead. it was bad for boxing and business. shouldnt you at least have one of those?

I think the Most likely reason is that he didn't want to continue with Frank Warren, I think Warren shafted him on the Hopkins fight, so he wanted nothing to do with him and wantee to max his pay out for his last fight...But I agree the Pavlik fight was much the better fight, maybe he should have just negotiated with Arum himself.

why did he duck him then? why did he fight jones jr for a 50-50 split instead of taking 60-40 against pavlik in a fight that would have sold more at the gate and on ppv?
