The "tainted Mexican beef" excuse is plausible

At least in the case of Canelo Alvarez.
The small amounts found in his system were consistent with meat contamination.
And we know that for reasons of greed and profit the Mexican cattle industry is rife with the practice of using steroids with livestock.
Additionally, there have been instances of other Mexican athletes running into the same problem.
WADA drops clenbuterol case against Mexican soccer players
Mexican beef can be a legitimate excuse for clenbuterol in an athlete's blood sample, the World Anti-Doping Agency said
Based on all that I think Canelo's excuse was reasonable. Do you agree?Comment

hair test is not accurate in detecting clen or other peds. thats why they dont do them lol it was a misdirect. publicity stunt. red herring. something that they could pretend exonerated him when it had absolutely no bearing. the fact that they came up with this con to try and fool people makes me believe even more that they knew he was guilty. you dont try to trick people if you are innocentLast edited by daggum; 01-27-2019, 07:35 PM.Comment

floyd asked for it and stuffed his body full of IV to hide i mean re-hydrate. that should be proof that these guys dont take the drug testing seriously at all. it should also tell you that the guys asking for it can also be asking for it because they know the system and their opponents dont. its a tactical advantage. catch your opponent who hasnt had time to develop proper techniques to getting around the testing, or maybe they simply stop using which is an advantage to you. all while you know how to get exemptions, flush your system, etc...Comment

How clever of Canelo to plant all those people for use as a publicity stunt. He must have bought off hundreds of internet users to pretend to be irate GGG fans, what an evil genius.Comment

he didn't plant them but he used their ignorance to try and con people into believing an inaccurate test exonerated him. these are the type of people who probably think a caravan is coming to the states to kill everyone and we need an army at the border. its low hanging publicity fruit. if he was innocent i dont think they would waste their time trying to trick peopleComment

Clen makes your gas tank bigger, funny, Canelo was gassed in the 1st fight, gets caught with clen in his system which would help with that issue, 2nd fight was fought at closer quarters and Canelo didn't appear to gas anywhere near as much as the 1st fight, his trainers are butchers, it's a known problem in Mexico, they know the rule that you are responsible for what goes in your mouth and the only reason he was caught was that the testing started earlier than intended, funny how everything that happened would have helped Canelo except for being caughtComment

so you are going to ignore all the research that shows its not accurate? if it was so accurate why dont they use it for testing? its certainly easier than blood and urine. why would you believe just one guy instead of mountains of evidence to the contrary? this one guy happens to be one of the most controversial figures in boxing and has worked with fighters and promoters but yeah hes just giving his opinion!Comment
