The amounts found in Canelo's system were small and consistent with eating contaminated meat. And he doesn't have a history of being a person with low morals who would lie and cheat.
Plus he did even better against Golovkin under VADA testing than he did without.
he did better after getting caught doing peds? doesnt that bolster the he did ped argument? the only time we know for sure that he was on peds is before the second fight. we dont know if he did them before the first fight although its probable. those ped gains earned during the off season dont just vanish and he obviously upped his awareness after getting caughtLast edited by daggum; 01-27-2019, 06:44 PM.

Clenbutrol is the exact type of PED that would benefit a fighter like Canelo. Shed fat while maintaining muscle. My guess is he started using it right after the Floyd fight. He didn’t want to be at a disadvantage ever again. Look how he suddenly wants a rehydration clause for Jacobs now. I suspect that if it were Charlo the one he got the gift decision against, the same folks defending him would be outraged.
Cheating is cheating. Canelo knee all the risks regarding tainted beef in Mexico. He is worth millions and can afford the very best in produce.

But that doesn't mean that Canelo purposefully cheated as so many want to insist. His explanation of having done it accidentally and with no ill intent is reasonable and very possible.

Canelo was pressured to do something...so he asked for random testing knowing that he was using steroids? And he planned to only have trace amounts in his system at the exact time of the tests so that he could use the tainted meat excuse?
That's quite an elaborate plan you're suggesting he concocted.

But i suppose the delay in the fight worked to his advantage.
Canelo and Floyd have proved, you don't need to beat the system, you need to buy it.
