    Comments Thread For: Stiverne: Joe Joyce? I'll Knock Him Out, Then I'll KO Joshua!

    Joe Joyce will face his most significant professional test when he fights former world heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne on the undercard of James DeGale's February 23 grudge match with Chris Eubank Jnr. The 2016 Olympic silver medallist, 33, has won each of his seven fights inside the distance, but in the 40-year-old Stiverne has been matched with an opponent who fought for a world heavyweight title as recently as November 2017.

        Is Stiverne a good test, or is he a clown?
        I couldn't tell weather you respect him or not from
        reading your contradictory statement.

              I can't believe Stiverne's lack of activity over the last couple of years but if he almost lost to Rossy Joyce will stop him in 3 rounds.

                Maybe it should be airhead Jeff instead? A test for a prospect like Joyce, for someone of AJ's Caliber and experience he is a clown to think he can beat that man. There are levels to the game son.

                  Stiverne has had one fight since 2015 that was against Wilder and he didn't look like he had trained at all. If he didn't train for a world title fight I doubt very much he'll train for this fight. I hope he proves me wrong but I'm thinking he'll turn up a fat and sloppy 260 or more.

                  If Stiverne comes in at or about 240, Joyce better watch out.

                    “I told my promoter Don King to get me any man on earth and I will fight for the right to prove myself to the world. Then the phone rings, it’s Don, he tells me Joe Joyce - a boxer with only seven bouts - agrees to meet me! ‘Seven bouts?’. Seven fights and he has the audacity to box me? I have stopped Chris Arreola, Ray Austin, the then undefeated Kerston Manswell - and a boxer with seven fights wants to box me?!.’ I said to Don ‘Sign it, take it, grab it,’ I’m ready. Seven fights - and he wants to box me?," Stiverne said.

                    "For me it is a dream come true - but for Joyce it will be a nightmare
                    ====================

                    So, a dream come true to fight a fighter with 7 fights under his belt? Seems like Wilder beat the last brains out of Stiverne. Joe will sc**** the rest For somebody with 7 fights Stiverne would be a credible opponent, but since this somebody is Joe, it should be a walk in the park. If Joe loses clean to Stiverne (miraculously), he should just retire. I'd be a bit concerned over Joe's career if the fight goes the distance, unless Joe dominates the beejesus out of Stiverne over 12 rounds.
