This article said Stiverne beat Arreola for the title then beat him again in his first defence. I think the writer should do some homework. Stiverne & Arreola fought in a WBC final eliminator first. Stiverne beat Austin in an eliminator & Arreola beat Seth Mitchell. Then Stiverne & Arreola fought a rematch for the vacant WBC title when Vitali retired. Stiverne’s first defence was against Wilder. He did not hold the belt for 2 years. He was the mandatory for 2 years. Poor journalism here. Joyce will steamroll Stiverne as his punch resistance has been gone since the first Wilder fight.
