I think it's safe to say PBC has figured something out.

If Garcia v. Spence clears 300k (I'm thinking it'll do more than 400k), then the PBC is off to a remarkable start with this revamped model.

Wilder v. Fury will likely pass 400k next time. So we're talking at least 5 PPV events from PBC that are true successes in one year. (Surely they'll have at least one more.)

*Historically, 300k has always been the benchmark for gauging a PPV worthy fight. Just see data on guys like Oscar, RJJ or early Manny. Floyd was an anamoly.
First off 325k for a heavyweight championship fight is atrocious.

Secondly Manny could make that many ppv sales if he was airing on PBS.. he's a star for more than a decade dummy!

Thirdly no one will watch that mismatch Garcia Spence. What a water it a career just for one fight...

I'm expecting 40k - 50k ppl in the stadium that night as well.
Mikey is cashing out and no one is expecting less than a ko stoppage

Definitely not convinced it does over 300k. Possible, but it's no sure bet. I believe in the ratings these fighters do on networks. Spence and Garcia do good numbers on SHO, but definitely not Wilder or Broner type of numbers. That matters. Now, like I said the one thing in their favor is getting promoted by FOX. They have been doing nice shoulder programming for their regular cards so you can just imagine what they will do for the PPV.

Maybe the fight does light a spark and it ends up doing really good numbers. I don't know, just don't expect it as of now. Things can change as we get closer to the fight and see how much buzz the promotion creates.

The crowd should be good for sure. Definitely not selling out the AT&T stadium, but getting to 40k is do able. Spence put 14k in the practice stadium last time out against O'campo and Garcia has a solid name in that area as well. Bigger in SA, but that fight should do a nice live gate.

I'm a big Bud fan but it's pathetic if Crawford/Khan does better than Wilder/Fury. Not only will this prove Arum to be correct about Wilder/Fury not being properly promoted but it will confirm that the casual fans make up a lot of the PPV buys since regardless of proper promotion or not, there's no reason why any self respecting boxing fan should be more willing to pay for an obvious mismatch than a bout between two of the top 3 heavyweights in the world. Arum wants some of that heavyweight money after his option on Parker didn't work out so well.

Im with you on this. I wouldnt be suprised if it does over 500k. Every hispanic boxing fan I know knows about this fight. Win or lose were still very proud of Mikey. If he doesnt get blasted out his name brand doubles if not triples...
