      2010-2019

Pacquiao won his 8th division WBC jr. middleweight belt in 2010.

Wins over Mosley, Marquez, Bradley, etc. not enough to stack up

But if he wins the fight against Mikey/Spence and the rematch with Floyd to close 2019, he might win FOTD again.

Otherwise, I just see Floyd and Canelo having the only decent wins to be FOTD

The problem with Floyd is he retired in 2015, and 4 years of inactivity did not do him good cos Canelo started taking over.

If Floyd beats Pac who beats the Mikey/Spence winner, he will definitely be FOTD.

      Floyd/Canelo sorta tied
      Pacman not that far behind

Pacquaio has a shut out win over Clottey which IMO is better than a controversial (should have been loss) win over Lara or a close call over Trout. It’s probably better than anything Canelo has outside of the controversial GGG fights, maybe even better given how small Pacquaio was at 147.

He might win it officially but are we really going to agree, as boxing fans, that canelo is the best boxer we have seen this decade?

Let's out pacquiao, mayweather, jmm and hopkins to one side, who have all fought and had some special wins this decade.

Just looking at those fighters who became champions and stars during this decade, loma is more well rounded and sublime, Crawford has special attributes and aj may end up with a legacy defining, undisputed heavyweight title.

Canelo doesn't quite match any of those in those categories.

I agree with you. He's more dominant on his wins than Canelo. Lomachenko, Usyk, Chocolatito, Wlad and Crawford are all close competition of Canelo for FOTD.

The fact people mentioned Floyd, Pac, and retired? fighter like Ward as candidate, this decade is probably the weakest decade we had in boxing. Not a single stand out fighter this decade. Too many divas plus boxing politics.

How can you be fighter of the decade if you were never p4p1? There was always a fighter better than Canelo

You've evaded my whole point the entire time. I think for a good reason too.

                      I said earlier it's been the weakest decade of the gloved era. Weakest in terms of talent, matches and entertainment. Least great fights, least great fighters etc; etc;

Chocolatito is a decent candidate as is Usyk but I don't think they have the kind of cache to sway the voters. I also think Canelo's failed VADA tests and controversial decisions will factor in far more than people want to admit. I don't think he'll be strongly considered.

It will be Mayweather, Lomachenko or Ward that get the award.
