That PPV will do at least 1.5M buys or more with a live gate of $12M or so. Hearn has to up the offer a bit more to get Whyte to sign the contract.
It has to be more than 4, surely. Whyte is worth more than that, im a big defender of Hearn with all the hate he gets but in the current market Whyte is worth more than 4. He just is. Ive been predicting the offer, the improved offer would be breaking 10 million. I think thats overpaying Whyte but needs must and Whyte wants paying. But then whose calling the shots here Hearn or Joshua? Cuz Hearns quids in either way as he would likely be promoting both fighters.

Hearn created a monster here. Whyte is a little too big headed now.

If I (Whyte) have done business with you, and the other guy turned down your offer, and he works with your rival (Fury), shouldn't I get the same offer, if not better, than that guy? I don't think Whyte is as good as Fury, Wilder, nor even Ortiz, but he did put the work in for MatchRoom! Shouldn't that mean something?
He put in that work for Matchroom, not for AJ. AJ owes him nothing. And it's not like Dillian hasn't already been paid a fortune for the work he's put in.

How many boxers, in the UK or anywhere else, are earning multi-million$ purses without ever having fought for a world title?

Dillian is being offered a shot at 3 world title belts and the chance to replace AJ as the No1 HW in the world, at a point in time when the interest and money being generated by HW title fights is heading for a level it hasn't touched in 25 years.

If he turns it down because he can't get 60/40 from AJ, that's not just being big headed, that's Adrien Broner level delusional ... and some!

but then I remembered that Haymon wants to take over the UK, so maybe he wants Whyte to be his guy over there?
You know that came up in the meeting! Whyte is a smart man! You know he's showing his PPV numbers, etc.! He said he manages himself, so he has to see how many Haymon guys have their own promotions, etc.! I still think he should take the fight, if the offer comes to 35%! He has to remember that although he's been in more PPVs than Wilder and Fury, he also already lost to Joshua by TKO! Fury and Wilder haven't been KO'd by anyone! Also, if I'm Whyte, and I think it's a low-ball offer, I would ask Eddie Hearn for a one-fight offer for Usyk! He should get well paid for that, and if he wins, he's Joshua's mandatory for the WBO!

It is and I can understand his point but Here’s how I see it. If what he got against chisora is the most he’s ever got, he’s getting very close to that but probably a little less but also the chance to fight for three world titles. If he truly believes in himself he’ll take the offer and reap the benefits in the future. If he doesn’t and is looking to cash out now then yeah fair enough try and get as much as you can now.

              So hes not a mando?

I can't nor want to keep track of all this corrupt ABC bs, but I swear I keep reading that Whyte is basically just waiting to get his name called as the mando with a whatever day time period before a purse bid if a deal isn't made.

With PBC in the UK that makes a real bidding war possible for Joshua vs Whyte if it goes to purse bid. Which in turn makes it all the more likely for Hearn to stop the petty bs & make a fair deal with Whyte to avoid Joshua fighting on ITV & him looking like a huge f#cking idiot or needing to drop a belt again over ****** ass bs games he keeps playing.

And I don't blame him. He would lose and go back to square one.

Whereas he can keep fighting the Parkers and Povetkins and Ortiz's and Breazales of the world, and probably come out on top.
You might be right. Maybe that's why he wants to maximize every dollar in that fight. Who known? Only time will tell.

It is up to Whyte to be honest but Eddie is not in control over this one because Whyte clearly has OPTIONS! I'm sure Showtime/PBC is offering probably just as much for Breazeale and fight he would WIN setting himself up for a even BIGGER Payday with the winner of Wilder vs Fury 2. On top of BT Sports and ITV I'm sure willing to put in extra money to have him on their Platforms

I think there are more angles in play than that.

If Whyte is in a mando position he's getting the fight. Hearn isn't really calling the shots unless he's willing to give up a belt over it.

Negotiating thru the media again!! If Whyte can get more money fighting someone else he should do it. But if not he needs to take what's on the table. Also I wonder if Whyte will leave the company afterwards.
