Who was he supposed to fight? The man has a family to feed.
I don't blame him, but whoever at the PBC could get somebody else. My hope is that maybe they just want to put on an all Cuban card with Lara, Ortiz and Rigondeaux (which should be in Florida) and needed a quick opponent after Ortiz fighting in December. This would be 3 soft touches in 8 months, so he should ready for something big after that. Hopefully Joyce.

Usyk's team said they wanted Ortiz, but it's proven that Usyk's team is full of ****. Ortiz and Parker's team said they received no offers to fight him.

Who is he supposed to fight? Wilder/Fury are busy, AJ wont mention him, Joe Joyce Calls him out and it'll probably happen on Wilder/Fury2, Whyte wont fight him even after calling him out and Ortiz accepting, Brezeale doesnt want to lose his mandatory spot. No good options left. He stays busy and gets paid

I think Lara-Castano is happening at the Barclays Center. Joyce is probably the best opponent Ortiz could get right now.

Whyte made an offer and Ortiz turned it down. Get your facts straight.

He was never going to fight him regardless. Eddie wouldnt have allowed it. Didnt answer the question, since all those are out of the picture (including Whyte) who should Ortiz fight now? Im not saying this is a good fight, but its understandable why Ortiz wants a paycheck

Hasn't he called out Joshua and Whyte already? Wilder and Fury are probably having a rematch, Whyte gave an interview and didn't even mention him, we've heard rumors about Joshua-Whyte 2 or even Miller. Nothing about Luis Ortiz really. Only Usyk and Joyce seem interested in facing him.

It's a 40 year old fighting for a payday. That's exactly where Ortiz is at now. It's where most 40 year olds still plying their trade without a decent resume are at.

Nothing shocking here, unless you bought into the idea that he was still a top contender after the Wilder fight.

Whyte made an offer Ortiz turned it down. Whyte has fought top 10 comp to earn a shot. Ortiz needs to do the same.

But when no one in the top 10 (minus joyce on WilderFury2) will fight him, what is he supposed to do? Its a stay busy fight and he is getting paid which is what the old man needs
