This whole thing has become a bit confusing.
I thought Wilder and Fury both got 50-50 in the first fight? I thought there was a rematch clause in the contract for the first fight? I thought Wilder said he 100% wants to fight Fury next?
So why have the authorities ordered the rematch and put a deadline of only a few weeks?
To me that suggests Wilder's team are not actively trying to make the fight and what they said about the contract of the first fight is not true. If it was the only negotiation would be on the date and venue. The other details would have been covered in the first contract.
Either way this is good for us fans. Wilder either fights or vacates. No politics, promotor crap talk can ruin the fight being made.

Definitely good news for fans - we'll almost certainly have a huge fight coming up. But beyond the Wilder fights or vacates options there is still the third option that Fury could get a better offer, so I wouldn't count out the promoters just yet.
I reckon Eddie will be working on an improved offer. If Fury takes Deontay's title there'll be a rematch. Joshua will definitely be out of the picture for a year or more. Fury's got some serious leverage right now - he's currently the most influential man in heavyweight boxing without holding a belt!

If money is the motivation Fury would be fighting AJ. You can't have it both ways.

He could have more fans in the UK, but 15K people in Las Vegas brings in more money than 60K at Wembley!
