He doesn't hold a title. Doesn't warrant another title shot right now.

    Who actually needs him?
Excuses are PLENTY on this site He SHOULD get another shot. We like the match ups & want to see it PERIOD.

But Aj who won't fight him is "elite elite"?

No heavyweight today is "elite" so what difference does it make?

So title shots aren't earned, they are given to boxers who you want to see fight?

          Strange.

IMO, Joshua and Fury beat Ortiz. Reasonable opinions differ!

If Joshua doesn't get Wilder or Fury on April 13th, I guess Ortiz would answer a question. Whyte doesn't and that's why I don't want a rematch.

              'elite'

              NOUN
a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.

Joshua, Fury and maybe Wilder are classed as elite by definition because they have superior attributes depending on who you use as an example.

They are all MASSIVE! I'm 6'5" and would feel small next to these guys.

Or no one without a title in boxing should get a fight? Wtf are u saying man?!? Ur asinine reasoning just blows my mind. Ill tell u who needs him, everyone who wants a good name on his record and who wants to prove he is the best by fighting the best, sadly no champion nowadays seems to subscribe to that agenda and you pathetic haterate drinking casual fans just make it 100x worse. Ortiz is a very good hw, regardless of his record. Its from his performances that you see it (or dont, if youre a blind dksab casual). Not his fault he is ducked and is cuban so it was hard for him to defect and turn pro at an early age.
                This ^ right here.

Joshua needs Ortiz? Of course he doesn't. Whyte? Why would he need him given the fights he's being talked about for?

Maybe he's a chance for someone like Miller to make a statement. But there's easier statements to make. Look what Whyte has done in his last couple of fights.

                  I won't even dispute whether he's a good fighter. He's clearly a dangerous opponent.

But Ortiz isn't a prospect. He isn't a big name on the wane. He's the old man of the top 10 with an average resume.

He'll get fights. He'll earn decent money. But none of the top fighters need Luis Ortiz. They're certainly not ducking him - he hasn't earned that kind of status and probably never will.
Aj ducking him like Aj is ducking D.Wilder. You can't front. We want to see King Kong fight Aj. Whyte aint shet. King Kong is in the Top 5 PERIOD.
