Who is Cintron....let me guess Chavez?

All during the 1.5 years of Floyd's retirement. Yep. The 80s all over again.

    Smh
question. was you around when Floyd retired? I'm not literally saying that they were exactly like the 80's, just indicating that the welterwgt division now had actually good competition to make their own history & exciting fights with Floyd spearheading........ but he let everyone down....he quit!

That's literally exactly what you said.

      "The 80s all over again".

      Smh.

Nostalgia is something else. Reality is Floyd took off for 1.5 years and came back with a list. Tune up vs Marquez then signed a 50/50 to fight PACQUIAO. Fact.

Question: why did this "80's all over again" era only lasted for 1 year? I mean Sugar came back after time off.....it was still 80s. Why did this mythical era during Floyd's time off magically disappear?

Lol people thinking it was because of Margarito. Come on now. If he didn't want to fight him it would be easy to just duck him. Why retire?

Im no Floyd fan but the haters are funny as hell

I laugh everytime people claim margarito was some sort of threat to floyd you must be on crack if you think that slow plodding mummy would have even landed a glove lol

According to some, Margarito is the equivalent to 80s Duran Aka "hands of stone".

            No pun intended

I'd still watch Marg-Money. I'd rather see that than a Pac rematch.

Floyd agreed to fight Judah before that loss. He and Judah signed to fight each other after Judah's soft touch vs Baldomir. Judah lost it, so Floyd fought both guys back to back.

Imagine if Sugar Ray Leonard had retired when the Welterweight division had the likes of Benitez, Duran, Hearns, Palomino & cuevas, history would've not been good to him.
People don't get on Marvin Hagler for retiring when middleweight was getting hot.
