It is amazing to read some of the stuff like this people write about Margs from this period. They post as if he was a HOF level boxer yet he was just a Top Rank plodder whose best win during the era (when he wasn't cheating) is stalking Floyd at a press conference.

Honestly stuns me. Dude had 1.good win...career defining win...gets TKOd in very next fight.

And people say Floyd was afraid of Margarito??

Margs was worse than Baldomir. Floyd won that fight pretty clean and Margarito wouldve been the same even if he used plaster handwraps

The last time Floyd was an underdog was against Diego Corrales at 130. Diego was taller, with greater range, and a KO machine. Floyd was underdog in that fight.

For the remainder of Floyds career he would never be underdog again.

And that doesnt change the fact that floyd did say he wasnt trying to fight no welterweights and retired when Tony and Paul were waiting.
