    gotta go...
yup...he is the best of his era...which is great...he was named best fighter of the last 25 by espn

him using the TBE is a selling line...he says it....you dont have to agree or believe it...he used it to sell himself...and if he believes it so be it...you wont change his mind....im not here saying hes the greatest ever....thats impossible to say...most likely he isnt....he used that moniker to piss people off and sell himself.....thats really what TBE is all about....floyd believes it...but you dont have to...nor am i trying to sell u on that

im showing u the truth...he agreed to fight margs and wanted a future guarantee to fight cotto...bob balked at it over 6 million bucks.....and we lost out on margarito cause of it...and we didnt get cotto till much later also because of it...more bobs fault and lack of foresight......

floyd legit said ill fight margs for 8 mil if you give me 20 mil for hatton and cotto fights after that.....bob said ill give you 14 instead.....its right there in the link.....but you are still blaming floyd...history says bob was kinda dumb and floyd was kinda right

Bottomline he should have fought them...but he quit!
Bottom line is this is the real world and it’s about money. After 10 years of hard work Floyd wasn’t taking no pay cut for anyone. Since leaving TR Cotto and Margarito weren’t really a viable option. Now I don’t know why Mosley was never offered up to Floyd, especially since Floyd was dealing directly with Richard Schaefer.

I read him saying he was looking "beyond money" in his decision at the time, which doesn't sound like Floyd at all. So was there a real reason?

Floyd agreed to fight Margarito when Margarito approached him personally.

Sorry. No version of Quintana is remotely comparable to Floyd.

Floyd was supposed to be afraid of a guy that got outboxed and stopped by a shot Mosley, humiliated against Pacman, and dominated in the Cotto rematch?

Sorry. Floyd wouldve beaten any version of Margarito - even if Margs used plaster. Floyd is not Cotto. Floyd does not get hit like Cotto did - literally never did.
But he didnt. “Im not trying to fight no welterweights”. Paul Williams was only defeated by lefties. Floyd stayed away from these long and rangy guys with incredible stamina for a reason.

                      You are a fool

The last time Floyd was an underdog was against Diego Corrales at 130. Diego was taller, with greater range, and a KO machine. Floyd was underdog in that fight.

For the remainder of Floyds career he would never be underdog again.
