Comments Thread For: Promoter: Usyk Can Face Ortiz, Povetkin or Lebedev

Ukraine's Oleksander Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs), the only undisputed male world champion (meaning he holds all four major belts WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF) at the moment, had a banner year in 2018, winning thrice at his opponents' backyards, being named 2018 Fighter of the Year by all credible boxing pundits and outlets and putting his name in one line with Evander Holyfield as a duo of the greatest cruiserweight stars of all time.

I wouldn't be opposed to Usyk sending Povetkin or Ortiz into retirement. Anything than a Lebedev fight. Lebedev hasn't earned ****.

Lebedev Yes! Povetkin Yes! Ortiz Hell No! That's too risky and dangerous of fight to make at this infantile stage of his development at heavyweight. Usyk can run but he cannot hide. Ortiz is such a patient fighter that he will stalk him like a tortoise until he finally catches him.

Ortiz will whoop his ass. I don't think Eddie Hearn is ready for that kind of smoke this early in his Heavyweight boxing career.

The only thing similar about Ortiz and a tortoise are their ages. Usyk would put a whooping on that man.

You sound insane. Have you seen how big and strong Ortiz is? Have you seen hard hard he punches? Ok throw him in there with him then but I know, that it's all bullshit though because he wouldn't even allow Joshua or Whyte to challenge Ortiz; So he is sure as Hell not going to allow Usyk to fight him.

I mean this is boxing anything can happen but if usyk can stand up to ortiz power well he'll be beating all the HW he faces but with the style that Ortiz has he'll be flooring usyk a couple times even if it goes the distance usyk can't go toe toe with a counter puncher like ortiz he'll be kissing em belts good bye because Ortiz is one strong gorilla
