this isn't true. don king, bob arum, goldenboy, even haymon have all tried their hand in women's boxing. it just doesn't sell. i

They've simply marketed female MMA much better than female boxing has.

A big part of that is MMA practically coming under one organisation. The organisation effectively promotes all UFC fighters because it's in their interest to do so.

They've been very progressive with very good results.

No single organisation has that kind of influence in boxing. They're not progressive. They aren't looking after the good of the sport. The promoters aren't going to make any coordinated effort either.
It has nothing to do with being "progressive". Do you honestly think Dana White is some type of "progressive"? LMAO.

Dana White once said he'd never have WMMA in the UFC. Then he realized people he could actually make some money off Ronda and as always money talks, BS walks. They marketed her as an unstoppable beast and it worked until she was thrashed by Holm.

WMMA is no more talented or exciting than women's boxing. The UFC has a bunch of WMMA fights because they are cheap. That's the thing no one talks about. They fight for peanuts compared to the average male UFC fighter. These women are basically two years away from starting in boxercise.

Because they are promoted better and fight on men's cards, etc.

You know what, I have absolutely no idea. Never was able to stomach more than 30 seconds of female boxing, but that Nunes fight was a beauty. Maybe the limitations of boxing coupled with the limitations of female boxers makes it a buzzkill. Who knows.

Most female boxers are about as ugly as men.

Womens Boxing doesnt come across to the fans as brutal as Womens MMA.
