If you use a bit of common sense you know the claim it's estimated viewers is wrong ******.

We all know the Joshua-Klitschko PPV did well over 1 mil BUYS, viewers would be well over 2 mil easily, Barb is reporting 1.5 mil. Obviously buys not viewers.

They don't get PPV numbers, it's confidential.

And even if they did, surely they would use their own estimates and measurements and bump the number up even more to show the estimated viewers.

Their weekly viewing figures show estimated viewers, that's it, nothing else. They are not going to just lump a PPV figure in the list without using their own measurements first. Why would they do that? it makes no sense for a company to do that when their whole game is to make estimations on viewing patterns.

Hearn is using estimated viewers as PPV buys, that's all he's doing.

I actually mentioned a while back how odd it was that boxing journalist stateside are able to report PPV numbers within two weeks while in the UK no boxing journalist is doing that. Why? Do journalist in the UK just don't care about this kind of stuff or they legitimately can't get this information? If it is the latter I find that hard to believe. If you do enough digging, you should be able to get a solid idea of the numbers. No sources within the PPV industry?

As for the OP, interesting stuff. I'm not aware at all how BARB works so I can't comment. But the Joshua point is a valid one. It was reported that one did over a million PPVs so if it was going off estimated viewership, wouldn't that one be even higher than?
