But what's crazy to me is that they gave him a deal based on him acquiring PBC fighters. No plan B. Unless what we're seeing now is his plan B. If this is his plan B he won't make it past his 2 years.
This was what was originally reported but folks at DAZN deny this is only a two year guaranteed deal. Who knows what the truth is.

      • Then you make a counter offer if one is better. That’s how it works. These guys are ****-riding puppets and don’t know it. And international does mean all over.

If UK fans could watch Hearn's PPV shows on DAZN for $10, rather than paying $25 for a Sky PPV, that would be a serious chunk out of Eddie's profits, so he and DAZN must have taken steps to prevent it happening.

Going back to Kowdtv, when I asked them for a refund they directed me to a paragraph in their faq which said that some PPV events would not be accessible to viewers outside the US, contact support if in doubt, and told me I had got what I paid for, which was a months subscription to their service.

But from what I can find out, everything streamed on DAZN is blocked in the UK.

          • Good job but when you hit 160 then what? 160 is DAZN

but i dunno if the haney/ennis type of guy is the right approach either....

i think hearn, at least in his own mind at the very least, feels pressure to start producing something now or relatively soon with DAZN....yeah haney and ennis have had some decent exposure already....but take a look at guys like jermall, spence and mikey....spence is like 28 and is just now rounding into a household name....mikey is 30 and is just now reaching the level hes at really...it could really be another 4 years or so before guys like haney and ennis really make a good name for themselves...and by "good name" i mean capable of sustaining viewership

canelo is a pretty rare breed in that he started very early and got a good push early...and had floyd to help him there...i dunno if those guys have that luxury and ability

I don't think pbc fighters are happy. They desperately want what canelo has, always mentioning canelo at every turn. You have these guys who are almost in their thirties who have no names on their resumes, no fortune made, no reputation... Once you hit thirty it's downhill, it's a rare breed that can compete in their thirties...

Allot of wasted time with them and it's understandable, pbc can't afford to pay these guys as much as they do very often when they always fight tomato cans..
Canelo was already a draw and a name in his own right before he fought Floyd. I can't see how getting schooled by Floyd boosted Canelo's popularity with the fan base who made him a star - Mexicans and Mexican Americans.

Imo, Canelo gained nothing from fighting Floyd except his highest pay cheque to that date and some valuable experience.

Well these PBC fighters make it easy to hate on them by not fighting regularly and when they do fight they fight bums. Any way Hurd is not a big loss for DAZN because he is going to have a really short career since he takes so much punishment.

I agree with you, and he definitely learned allot from Floyd in that fight..
