I get that Wilder can do what others have done and take short money for the opportunity. In this modern era, we see guys like Manny, Wilder and GGG continue to fight as a sides until they get the best offer from the guys they are b sides to.
but... i thought the wilder-fury fight was bigger than the wilder-joshua fight?

wilder has been offered way more money than he made in a supposedly bigger wilder-fury fight. so if the offer is a BS deal and slave wages, then what does that make shelley finkel for paying him much less

He would have fought Breazeale by now, but the option of winning "the coveted lineal heavyweight title" from Fury came up and they thought it would be easy work.

you know wilder and his team are going to wait for joshua to announce his next fight then say he's going to fight his mandatory. that's actually what i want to happen at this point. let Joshua fight ortiz, maybe in america, and let wilder go fight breazeale... AJ and wilder both fight previous opponents of the other. that's an interesting storyline if wilder keeps ducking.

where did I say it was bigger than AJ/Wilder or it was "slave wages"? Seems you have an agenda here.

It isn't about the money as much as it is about control of the promotion and the event. It's why name fighters that are not necessarily the cash cow choose to fight for less money where they can control the environment .

It's also relative. As many posters have said throughout the years its not how much but what percentage of the total. So while Manny and wilder, for example, were offered more than they ever made, they and their teams run the numbers and decide more is not a fair percentage of the overall take and they refuse the offer, which the a sides already expected.

Relax, the Wilder vs. Fury rematch is going to happen.

Let's say that something bad occurs that derails the rematch. It will just be postponed... it's a big money fight and both parties want it. The rematch will eventually happen 100%.

Worst case scenario... let's say that AJ vs. Whyte is signed, and then Fury vs. Wilder is called off due to an injury or promotional disagreement. Wilder then takes on Breazeale, so what? Breazeale and Whyte are pretty much the same based on their resumes. In terms of competition, AJ vs. Whyte is about equal to Wilder vs. Breazeale. These aren't the fights we want, but they're good warmups before the big showdown.

I personally think Team Joshua needs to move on with the Whyte fight, if he beats Whyte then fight Miller or Ortiz in America after that. Then hopefully the younger HW would be up for the test, if not Usyk would be at HW. No point in beating a dead horse with this Wilder BS. Any fighter with any ambition would want to unify their division, so far it’s everyone else’s fault and never Wilder fault since he has become champion at HW.

When has Wilder shown any interest in fighting Breazele?

Wilder contradicts himself. First he says he wants to be the only heavyweight champ. One name, one face. One champion. Next he says team AJ is begging him for a fight but he will rematch Fury instead. So he has the opportunity to go to England and become that one and only heavyweight champion if he wins and be well paid but he chooses to rematch Fury for less money instead.

Hearn and Joshua have back tracked on their statements so many times its a joke at this point. Your own countrymen Fury and Lennox Lewis call Anthony Joshua a coward. Yet his fans believe he is in the right lol. Wilder-Fury got made without an issue. Joshua and Hearn are jumping for joy they get to cash out one more fight and spin that Wilder ducked him. I hope he faces Dillian and Dillian catches him with something, then he can rematch Dillian a couple of more times.
