Smith has wasted all the time since the win over Groves trying to find an opponent who will help him sell out Anfield. Hopefully any day now he realises there isn't one now and there won't be one any time soon, and even if there was a big US name in the division, Smith would be travelling to him not the other way round. A fight with with Eubank/DeGale winner would be a pretty big UK fight but not enough to sell out a stadium.

Ward said recently he doesn't plan to come back but if he did, he can no longer make 175, and it would have to be at CW or HW for a legacy fight. Smith needs to target guys in his own division and accept he's not a huge name to be involved in a megafight just yet. If he can unify with any of the other belt holders it would make him the clear #1 guy so that if Canelo returns to 168, Smith would be seen as the fight to make.

I still think its Jacobs vs. Canelo in May. And GGG Sept.

I hope so! I don't know what's taking Jacobs and GGG so long to sign with DAZN? They can't sign somewhere else and then complain that Canelo is "ducking" them!

Ward was never a draw and never got paid big money, except when he tricked Roc Nation into giving him big guarantees. They lost millions every time he fought Kovo and that’s why they are not in boxing anymore. I doubt someone else willing to lose money like that on Ward again because he’s proven he can’t sell tickets or get TV ratings. Ward is more entertaining as a commentator than a boxer, he should stick to what he is better at. If he can trick someone else to overpay him, then that’s on them. They overpaid Canelo at DAZN, so maybe he’s got a chance if they have any more left over there. Ward has always thought he is worth more than he is, that’s why he’s always so bitter that GGG has become more financially successful than him and a fan favorite that sells tickets and was just involved in the 2 biggest recent PPV boxing fights

It's all about the atmosphere it generates, you've seen the big UK crowds, they love to shout!

I believe alcohol is banned at Wembley for soccer....I don't know about boxing. But there is certainly enough beer and booze being drunk outside the arena.

No clue!!! Should of already been done. And the longer it takes the less likely we get good fights.

I don't know what plan B or C is for Canelo??? And May is coming up fast. They need time to promote and train.

                    Smith: wtf..

Yeah haha, and sing the same songs that get ****ing annoying quickly, like Sweet ****ing Caroline! On the plus side, Brit fights do generate great atmospheres for big fights. You have to admit that. Like I said it's just part of the culture, Brits love getting properly into it and being part of that buzz. That's why they love stadium fights, they generate that special atmosphere.
