Oscar wanted a 50/50 split for Linares. Linares has never been a draw to be asking for 50/50. Oscar has had him for years and has been pretty much regulated to send him over seas in order to get paid well. With GB, Linares had been getting around 250k a fight

But yes dlh did take it back FYI.. he thought selling his career to low drawing Spence was the best path logically lol...
Oscar wanted 50/50 for Linares when Linares can't draw.

You should ask yourself this. How can he make Haymon fighters stars but he can't make any of his own fighters into stars?
Arum's opinion on odcar, totally reliable.. lol I'm questioning your judgement.

I'd say goldenboys is his least profitable business. Ring magazine, the Houston Dynamo, his various charities. Various businesses not high profile as well. Very smart guy. Just look at Floyd, Tyson, holyfield, they blew through hundreds of millions in such a short amount of time.

He's half promoter for linares... Why would he invest in linares to stardom?

NOt really, Oscar was asking for 50/50 split for Linares. Linares has never been a draw and would have been Mikey bringing in all the fans just like Loma did for their fight. Linares as a headliner cant even bring in 3k, I should know because I went to his last 2 fights at the Forum, never seen it so dead.

He's half promoter for Munguia and he's trying to promote him more than his other fighters.

Schaefer and Dana White have said the same about Oscar.

I don't know all Oscar's financials and neither do you. But I do know the Golden Boy financials that were presented at trial and Canelo was the only one making money.

But you have to ask youself. If Oscar is such a great promoter and can make all of Haymon fighters into stars why can't he make his own fighters into stars?

Also, why doesn't Oscar want fighters to be independent like he was?

So basically you are Haymons with no sign on bonus from him. And for your easy loyalty your reward will be to get sacrificed in order to launch one if his signed fighters into stardom. Congratulations Mikey!

You should have taken Golden's offer. You just might have been pushed into Canelo stardom.

Now you will be a ruined fighter who might get offers from haymon to be his malignaggi for his fighters to step over on the way up.
You pretty much summed it up.

Agreed he had a chance to fight Jorge Linares last year and it was a one fight offer no rematch clause instead he took on Robert Easter who wasn't gonna beat him for an easier payday and now he's going to lose to Spence when he should've stayed at 135 to fight Lomanchenko instead! This dude is a very good fighter but his business acumen leaves something to be desired
