  • I still don’t understand why people think wilder accepted any deal. He clearly didn’t.

    • How are we still debating this nonsense.

Hearn and Joshua are sending perfectly good contracts and Finkel and Wilder are refusing them and are refusing to sit and talk about creating something they are happy with. What is there to debate? There is no twist in my comment they made it very clear they have no interest in fighting Anthony Joshua.

If Wilder and Finkel are ignoring contracts and ignoring correspondence of any kind from Hearn or Joshua what can be done?

The worse thing is let’s say Joshua beats whyte. And wilder beats Brezeale.

Everyone will just be talking even more about how AJ has a even stronger resume in comparison!

If Joshua ends up beating Whyte and miller in 2019 then wilder to have any hope of giving himself any credibility must take on a Povetkin or Whyte.

Wilder already took $14m at best for fighting Fury instead of fighting Joshua for $15m guaranteed. That's a fact.

Now Wilder is talking about fighting Fury again even though we KNOW he has a 35% offer on the table, a guaranteed rematch and an approximate $20m minimum guarantee.

And now he's talking about fighting Breazeale instead, how much do you think he earns for that?

          Wise up son.
You are correct, and in hind sight, team Wilder is doing the right thing. By turning down the flat fee offer, they have upped it now to a %, which will keep growing if he does beat Fury in the rematch. It could all backfire too if he loses. I think his hate of Hearn is the reason he won't fight AJ right now, and won't regret it, win or lose. I think Wilder KO's Fury in the rematch, and if he does, he won't accept anything less than 50%. If someone like Parker got 33-35%, Wilder (or Fury) will demand more for sure.

Eddie promotes a ton of boxing events where there are media present. They ask him about AJ/Wilder. He says that they're doing everything to make that fight, but that he can't talk about numbers, per Finkel's request.

            Standard and expected response.

Why call after 5 times and no email replies? Because this is a $50M+ fight and a follow-up email takes a few minutes max. Business over hurt feelings. If Eddie gave up after being ignored a couple times, I'd expect AJ to fire him on the spot.
According to you guys EVERY AJ fight is 50+Million so why is this one so important? Also, the other guy said Finkle was the one putting out the numbers so why would it all of a sudden be a problem now? Stories not adding up.

If Hearn demonstrated that he gave a worthwhile offer then pressure would be on Wilder's camp, but for now all we have is empty words on how badly they want the fight.

Well if they share it in the media it forces the Wilder camp hands to speak on it. Then if it's a legitimate offer and he says it's low then it would be a clear duck by Wilder which would change the narrative.

You see with his DAZN offers Hearn came out all the time talking about I'm offering 3 and 4x what they've made before. So it's not like he's scared to offer details

If Wilder wanted to fight Joshua where was the offer of flights, hotels, his own press conference and commentary job for the Wilder vs Fury fight ... hmm seems like it was joshua that wanted the fight then.
They should've fought in December but Joshua didn't want it you all know that keep saying what you want but last time I checked AJ was the one that had extra security so Wilder wouldn't confront him in the ring after Parker that's the only reason he didn't go he was already planning to fly over but Joshua made it clear he didn't want him in the ring instead he chooses to enter the ring against Whyte later in the year lol you all are funny this goes for you too crystos

What is getting in the ring going to do to a contract? Wilder and Finkel are either happy to proceed or they are not happy to proceed. Wilder made himself heard no problem ringside at Breazeales last fight, he could of done the same against Joshua. No point getting in to rings if you are then going to ignore emails and phone calls and contracts. Climbing into a ring promotes a fight, signing a contract makes a fight.

Joshua didnt want Wilder in the ring. Wilder didnt want to sign any contracts or meet to discuss what he wanted.
