A ton of Nietes title wins over the years have been over cupcake opposition, but you have to give him huge props for beating quality opponents like Reveco and Ioka in 2018. Not many belt-holders have two wins of that quality in a year.

          was the judging legit?
or did they rob the guy?
Absolutely not a robbery contrary to what the crybabies on Twitter are saying. It was a close flight and could have gone either way. Personally, I think anything from 116-112 Nietes to 115-113 Ioka would be acceptable.

takashi uchiyama was commentating the bout, and he said it was amazing how after the bout,
both ioka and nietes had clean faces, not a lump, bruise, blood or scratch
goes to show their level of defense
really hard to hit them flush

Even Ioka betrayed my money on him. Another lost bet to end 2018 miserably.

The fight looked fixed to me. Both guys were pulling their punches all night. Im amazed at the comments here calling it high level skill or that people fell for it. It was the most obviously fixed fight I can remember watching since I started watching boxing, really the only one I would feel confident saying is fixed without knowing the details. It was a travesty. I was looking forward to it so much, but was bored very quickly because it was a patty cake match. The reason their faces dont have a mark is not "high level skill" like someone else said, it's because it was a fixed fake fight, in my opinion, allegedly. Just my opinion, but it's a strong opinion because holy **** did that look fake. And for the record I didnt care who won.

Be honest. How much are you smoking when you made your comment?

At least present your evidence instead of going ranting fixed this, fixed that.
